Directionality of DC Circuit Breaker

I'm using this 50Amp Tocas circuit beaker between my 40 Amp charge controller and my battery array. Note, I'm also using a bolt on fuse at the battery connection; so this circuit is double protected in that sense. The breaker is there for maintenance opening of the circuit.

My confusion is around the direction of this breaker? I read about this but couldn't get past conflicting opinions.

The breaker has a load side and a battery side. As I understand it, during charging the controller is the source so it made me think about which way to attach the breaker.

Reading online suggests that it should still bet wired such that the battery is on the battery side. I suppose this is because a short could pull current from the battery in large amounts.

Is there a right direction here?
