Recently got a house with a mystery panel. I don't see any labels on it anywhere.
It has 1/0 Aluminum so it could be 100 or 125 amp rated.
There are 3 breakers to it. 100 for the main sub panel, 60 for an old hot tub that no longer exists, and 40 for the old AC.
I am planning on getting the EG4 18k with 12,000 watts of solar panels. I will be moving the existing breakers at the meter main panel to a new 200 amp panel and adding an additional 100 amp sub panel in the garage for an EV. The new 200 amp panel would be connected to the load side of the EG4 18k. Would this work or am I limited by the 125 amp service?
The long term plan is to eventually get 200 amp service but PG&E estimates a year.
So I'm wondering if I can do this now rather than waiting.
