EG4 6500ex back feeding AC input

Not brand new to the inverter world but this is a first for me. Already sent @SignatureSolarJarrett a message, but have one of my EG4 6500ex units Backfeeding power through AC input. With this the unit is now making wining sounds and is constantly going into F8 (bus overage) protection.

First unit I’ve had a problem with. Any ideas? Anyone seeing this? Confident at this point it’s some hardware issue.

AC input should never output AC.

Signature Solar came through great. They RMA’ed the unit and they have agreed to credit my account and exchange for the 6000xp and will accept my
Other 6500ex back for credit on another 6000xp.

Ah, thanks for sharing. I have two things.

1) the question I asked was stand-alone. "How in fact were you tracking that AC was going back ?" Was your energy meter spinning backwards or something?

I understand AC input should never have it outputting, but how did you know it was doing it? I dont know how to do that and would like to know.

2) I have heard this before about the 6000xp replacing older units. I wonder, I may contact them.... thanks again
