Elegant way to pre-charge between 2 Anderson connectors?

This is what I made years ago for Anderson SB50’s.

One side is a resistor, the other is just a piece of wire appropriately spaced and secured to a piece of scrap wood.

Just hold the APP connectors on each side for a bit and then plug them together.

Aint pretty but it works 😎.
I actually like that design, too bad nobody is selling something like that with the actual appropriate Anderson connectors on either side, so it's a 100% secure connection.

Put alligator clips on a resistor to initially connect the power. After 10 seconds remove the resistor and connect the Andersons direct.

Put everything on a board if you want elegant.
I feel at least a little better about using alligator clips than a tenuously connected resistor held against a terminal. I find that when I implement anything that can fail, against the odds, it usually (eventually) does.

Many high watt resistors have robust terminals to solder some stranded wire.
