I can get eve 280ah cells for $88/piece and CALB 280ah for $106/piece. the vendor highly recommends the CALB due to quality. They said they all test over 300/ah and commonly 305-310ah. Also claim 9000 Cycles! Does anyone have any experience with the two brands? The EVE is cheap enough to afford another string but if the CALB will outlast the EVE significantly I would rather go that route. The CALB also comes with balance sheets. Thank you for your all's opinion.

When I was doing an RV conversion ten years ago, CALB had a great reputation. Three years ago when I wanted to upgrade my pack I tried to find reasonably priced CALB cells, but the EVE cells were a lot less expensive by more than $18 per cell. I am happy with my EVE cells but they are definitely not Automotive grade. If I had a choice today I would buy CALB. At $106 per cell that is a reasonable $118 per kWh.
Those CALB cells may not be Automotive grade either.

Is the vendor highly recommended? That is really cheap for Grade A, and really good price (vs current market price) for Grade B.

the prices you are quoted are 1000% grade B so as long as you that going in you will be fine. Grade A will include and Individual cell by cell test report that lists each cell's capacity test.
With that out the $100 for a 300AH range cell is not bad.
