So I need some advice…..I have a 24v 3000kva (2400w) hybrid system hooked up to a 400w panel. I stupidly ordered 2 x 12v 100ah smart Renogy batteries as well as one x 170ah battery. So without reading the fine print I didn’t realise the smart batteries could not be hooked up in series - ergo they are no good to me. So I then ordered 2 x 12v 100ah core batteries for a series connection. Thinking out loud……this is a newbie group, if I were to keep all four and not return the smart batteries could I do some sort of series/parallel setup with the cores linked in series and the smart in parallel and the two linked??? Probably not a goer but said I would ask

It doesn’t sound like it to me.

However, at 2000W-3000W demands 12V will do that fine; 3000W is at (or by some opinions a bit over) the maximum practical use with 12V batteries but it will serve your intended needs.

It might be easier and cheaper to contend with the 12V batteries than buying batteries that support 24V. My opinion- ymmv
