Freedom 25 temperature settings. Did I find the Holy Grail?

I'm new to the LiFePO4 scene so please be kind.

A common theme is that the batteries are great and cheap but the supporting electronics will break the bank. I was hoping to use as much of the legacy equipment in my mid 90's Pace Arrow motorhome. To that end I've been scouring the manuals to see how to adjust voltages coming out of my Xantrex Freedom25 inverter/charger.

I found this in the user manual of the Link 1000 Heart interface: https://www.manualslib.com/manual/1761308/Heart-Interface-Link-1000.html?page=21#manual
The Freedom25 will adjust the accept, absorption and equilibration voltages based on the battery type and operating temperature. The temp could be sensed (if I had the module (which I don't)) or it can be input manually.

For instance, if I lie and tell it that I have gel cells at 38°C (100°F) it will use a very calm 13.7 V and 13.2 V float. (The manual isn't clear about what my serial# over 100,000 will use for equilibration voltage)

What am I missing? Something about minimum currents I bet.

Thanks!
