Good quality Tools - must have

I am curious if you have some good links/recommendations on tools a person should keep handy and around for doing this.
I don't mind spending a few bucks more for a good tool versus a crap tool.
 
 
I would second that. I don't always use what Will recommends, but I can find no fault with his choices.
 
I am new to this forum and solar. My background and hobby is farming and automotive. I can tell you this...get the best quality tools you can afford. Yes it is an investment but you will buy it once and it will last a lifetime. My soldering gun and iron are Weller. I have the Irwin wire strippers and multimter that Will mentions. My crimping pliers are Mac Tools. My thirty year old wrenches, sockets and screwdrivers are Craftsman. You get the idea. What I am trying to say is avoid Harbor Freight and those weird no name brand Chinese tools from various websites. The tools Will mentions in that list are good tools.
