Grid demand while battery storage has capacity. Solax X3 Hybrid

I'm using a Solax X3 Hybrid with 9.6kwh of battery storage. When the battery SOC shows sufficient capacity I still see demand being pulled from the grid. I'd rather pull from the batteries in this situation however it is not happening. Screenshot of the app below. Any idea where i need to be looking?

Any ideas on why this is occurring?

Make sure you are in "self use" mode.
