Help on solar panels and charge controller

I have two 120 watt panels and a Victron 100/50 and 100/30 charge controllers. I've switched around the controllers and the panels and get the same results. The wire going into the controllers shows 22 volts and zero volts according to the victron software. If I run the panels in series together I get 44 volts and still zero in the software. I have a battery hooked up and the software sees it. I hooked up the battery first. Any ideas. Hard to imagine both panels are bad and both charge controllers.

Are the batteries full by chance?

I'm using a agm battery just for testing and the voltage reads at 12.27 volts.

Just a few ideas-
1. Double check Polarity at each connection
2. Make sure Battery hooked to batt terminals NOT load terminals of controller
3. VOC of panels measured before hookup to controller, does it come close to panel label?
4. Try single panel at a time

Post a picture of the setup, maybe its something obvious?

History of controllers? Are they known to be good? Not ebay "used" previously smoked?

Any ideas

Measure the SC current of the panels to verify they are functional.
Another option is to temporarily connect direct to the battery and monitor battery volts

The suggestion to check polarity solved the problem. By the time I went through various connectors it reversed the polarity. I switched the cables and solved it. Thanks to everyone for their help. Great group.
