We need about 5hp, so I thought a 240v VFD pulling a 5hp 3phase motor. Now 240v VFD internally rectifies to 340v DC…. Which is why almost all EVs today are 380v batteries. So that‘s all well and good… but we need a BMS. I know the Nissan Leaf BMS will just work if you hook it up, but it‘s for 4.2v cells. I‘d love to do LFP…. So that would be a 112s BMS. Anyone know of a 112s bms or BMS‘s that are stackable to make 112 Total?
Here‘s a fun one for you… I have a friend who was thinking about converting an old (like 1930‘s) walk behind two week tractor to electric.
