I have a
  • MPP LV-MK 3048 all-in one 110v inverter
  • EG4 lifepo4 48v 100ah Battery
  • 2- 390w Canadian solar panels ran in series
I'm having troubles being able to charge the battery when hooking up to my generator (3500w). Is it due to the generator not putting out enough power or my settings on the inverter?

Also curious what the best settings are for the inverter so we're getting the most out of it. Thank you!!

If your generator is not an inverter generator, they are notorious for not being tolerant of dirty generator power.

Set #11 to 10A.

Increment it 10A at a time until it stops charging. Drop back down.

Additionally, if #01 set to SOL or SbU, battery voltage must be below setting #12.

If you want to be able to always charge via generator, set #12 to 56.0V and #13 to 56.8V.

Other settings:
#5: USE
#26: 55.2V
#27: 54.0V
#29: 48.0V
