From a local Aussie company with its own links to China.
- No-name cells
- Used for backup power systems, just on float.
- Company tests randomly, "all 395-400ah"
- At 300A, "voltage drops to only 25.6".
- 520 x 130 x 80mm
- 10.65 kg

What do you think?

By the way, that's US $218.
Per unit of capacity it's US $0.55 / Ah or US $170 / kWh.

There are at least two suppliers in Australia importing these cells.

lithium-power.com.au sell them for $280.

I know someone using a set of four they bought from that site last year for a caravan - no issues to date.

I was looking at those batteries too. the main reason I didn't purchase them as they are used condition, and we don't know how much life left on them. I did a quick calculation against the new 280ah battery, assuming the 400h battery has 2000 cycles left and the new 280ah battery has a 2500 cycle life. for my use (solar-storage) 280ah battery is cheaper (400ah - 15c per kW, 280ah - 12c per kW). but I'm happy to be wrong

Hmm that's a good point poilamaya. Also the smaller, new cells will probably involve less hassle over their lifespan...
