R type trapezoidal metal roof, 5 degree slope. Started with the S-5 Rib 3 thinking 4 screws into the trapezoid's sides added shear strength vs another mount screwed to the top of the trapezoid. Looking at my metal purlins, I now wonder if a Versa guard or any L foot screwed to a purlin might be stronger?

Would a few inches taller mount have a bifacial benefit? With prices overlapping, any downside to a BF Panel?

There's also the S-5 Solar Foot. I've used a lot of those with good success but almost exclusively on wood purlins.

My understanding is that the bulk of the benefit (wattage gains) from Bifacial applies to ground mounts.

Downside? Once upon a time Bifacial modules were heavier than standard modules because they had an extra glass sheet on the back. It's unlikely that extra weight will cause any problems with your roof but it's worth mentioning.
