Good day
I Installed a new off-grid array of 12 panels 550w 50 voc
I connected them in series and output voltahe was 524v with is higher than my inverter 450v specification
My question is can I connect 4 panels in parallel and connect this group to the remaining 8 panels in series
(2 parallel) + (2 parallel) + 8

I would suggest two parallel strings of 6 panels. Is this an rs450/100? While it has a listed 18A input limit per tracker that's just how much it can protect in a reverse polarity situation. If you are confident the polarity is correct can exceed 18A.

Actually with a 4kW per tracker limit I'd go with two seperate 6 panel series strings, to get optimum output.

What inverter is this?
Inverter is Growatt SPF 5000ES
I did the connection like you suggested the panels are 550 W 42 Vmp 13 Amp

So by calculation the output is around 258 V 26 A but the inverter Max PV input current is 22A is that a problem??? I don't think that the panels will reach max potential of 26 A

Is that 22 amps per input or combined?
