Hi, I have a question reguarding this ATS Will Prowse reviewed a while back.

The manual states the maximum current of ATS is 50 amps and 1200 Watts max load for my 24 volt Battery bank. Is this true? I dont understand the logic behind this bec the ATS gets AC power from the wall and 120 volt inverter. I know the ATS monitors the battery voltage but it does not see amps from the batteries directly. Can someone please explain why its only 1200 watts load maximum?

These units are not safe. They have damaged some members inverters. They are not true transfer switches. They are just two contactors with no mechanical interlock.
