Mount DC breaker upside down

For wire routing reasons I would like to mount a DC DIN rail breaker upside down.

Other than code compliance and possible operator confusion, is there any other reason not to do this ?

Specifically a C65H DC Breaker like this :

No, electricity has no up or down, just open or closed.

It will still work fine. Just confusing to operate.

Actually, it looks like you can wire it either way.(in/top out/bottom or in/bottom out/top) So, you can keep it mounted upright. Just need to verify with a continuity meter.

Hmmm, I’ve always understood you need the line in on the top and load on the bottom.

I’ll have to try and find where that came from.

The C60 series is definitely polarized. Load on the bottom.

Looking at the picture, the + and - are reversed from top to bottom. This is polarity for input wires. Verify with a continuity meter, that the connections are straight through. (Not crossing over) if so, you can feed the breaker from top or bottom. Following the polarity marks on the feeding side.

I'm sure that it is the same. But verify with a continuity meter.

That’s enough of a reason.

As far as I know these Schneiders (or the three actual chaitaxi DC breakers I’ve touched) can be top-fed or bottom fed- they just must be wired correctly to capture the arc on opening. I would never upside down them.
