System:
Inverter: MPP LVX-6048WP
Panels: 2000 watts
Battery: 48Volts 100Ah Emulating Pylon battery
Mode: Grid tied with backup Hybrid II

I have attached a screen shot from “Solar Assistant” which gives me reliable data about what I am sending back to the grid. I have current transformer in place because I am in a zero export mode.

What I think my inverter is doing is using the solar power to run the house and what is over and beyond is charging my batteries. When solar power is insufficient, the batteries should discharge. I hope I explained that correctly from what I understand. The manual is not very clear.

If you take a look at the green lines where “Battery state of charge” is shown. Am I charging and discharging the batteries appropriately? On a day where I am getting 2000 watts from the panels, the green line SOC is always up close to 100% but when it gets dark, the SOC shows discharge.

Is the battery functioning properly?
