New LG Commercial, Dont buy it, Be safe!

I just got a targeted ad from LG CHEM that said individual cells are dangerous. They started a marketing campaign against people owning battery parts. My ad was in English but I can only find the Japanese version onYouTube. Same ad though. Pretty soon it will be common knowledge that these things are dangerous and that no regular person needs high-capacity batteries... California will be the first place to ban such bad actors without a permit and a background check.

Heaven Forbid people try to do things themselves... I fear mandated integrated batteries at some point, cell phones have literally done that for lots of reasons, many of them are not consumer oriented. I guess I just wont buy LG products...

Outrageously misleading. And from a well known brand too.

Must admit, though, I never use any Lithium-ion cells without a protection board. If the cell doesn't already come with one, I add one before I connect it to anything.
