Hi all - I have what is hopefully (!) a simple question:
Can I use the power generated by a 'Grid Tie Inverter', as once its connected to the Grid how do I know if I'm drawing power from my solar system ...not the utility companys grid ???
More details:
I have 'aquired' and want to set up a Power – One Aurora PVi-3.3-TL-OUTD (S) grid tie inverter - but it needs to be connected to the mains (Grid) to work.
How will my loads pull power from the inverter, rather than the Grid once they are connected ? ....or is it designed purely for 'Feed in' so won't work as a stand alone 'off grid' device.
(I already have a small scale (2kw) Pv panels / Inverter / Batteries - powering my workshop). Thanks if anyone is able to explain or clarify the above.
