The State of Michigan states: “A person shall not equip a building with electrical conductors or equipment or make an alteration of, change in, or addition to, electrical conductors or equipment without receiving a permit to do the work described.”
Since I was making changes to the electrical infrastructure with by creating a critical loads panel, adding a battery backup and by connecting the AC In circuits of the 6000XP from the grid I believed I needed a permit.
I also wanted to make sure I had a passed inspection to fall back on for home insurance considerations.
