Hi All,
So this is my first build and it appears I messed up, I purchased 5 Simpliphi 3.8-M Batteries with no internal BMS or Heat, that is all good but then my insurance company said that they could not be in the building because she is on You-Tube and is certain they will catch on fire. ANYWAYS I built a nice cozy battery box for them and put a temperature regulated space heater inside so all is good(ish)
My Concern is if that $29.99 space heater fails then my batteries could be toast if they get below 0 and they try to charge- I am in Northern Canada and -30c is pretty standard for a few weeks in the winter
Can I use the battery Temp Sensor to STOP the charging cycle if battery box is below freezing? Any Ideas?
