Solis S5-EH1P6K-L as an off-grid with generator

HI Guys,

I'm wondering if it is possible to use Solis S5-EH1P6K-L inverter as an off-grid inverter, but with occasional AC charging from the generator or the grid?

Looking at the manual, it looks like I can connect all my loads to AC-BACKUP and use AC-grid port for occasional charge. Will it work or I'm missing something?

I have the same inverter and i just killed the AC supply to it and it carried on generating and charging my batteries but it was in alarm, if that bothers you.
