Hi all,

I recently bought these EVE LiFePO4 280Ah cells from a seller that seems to have a decent reputation here.
Advertised as grade A of course, they arrived slightly swollen.
They are produced in February 2022, all measure 3.10 - 3.12 V and look unused.
I know that these are not real grade A and I expected reduced capacity, but not damaged cells.

How bad is it? Can they be safely compressed? Or at least put in an enclosure to prevent future swelling?

this is normal swelling, not bulging
I've never assembled a pack before, but on videos I've seen the gaps were much smaller, the edges almost touched.
So it's safe to put them in a fixed enclosure that will not allow more swelling?

yes...
should be just fine...
better to fixate them before top balancing them, so the can't swell further
