For a sailboat, 9.9 outboards which don't require much to start but also only produce 6 amps for charging. Might keep these as a separate, isolated circuit. Long term cruising with a small dorm sized AC refrigerator, as main AC culprit although wife wants occasional hair dryer use. haha. Instruments, a freezer, multiple tablets and phones all on 12v. I may be adding more battery capacity in future as long as potentially 2 more 100w panels but for now this is what I'm trying to start with...
Already have 2 SOK 206 AH batteries on their way
about to order...
Victron BlueSolar MPPT 150/70 Tr Charge Controller
plus applicable wiring and various bobs and bits to connect it all together. Those are the largest panels I can fit over my davits so can't go with anything larger. Might consider splitting each panel into it's own controller but not sure if it really is worth the added expense. I know I haven't given you a breakdown of how much energy I will use but I don't honestly know. The boat is a big upgrade from my previous day/weekend sailor and I plan on living with more than just an ice chest
