I got this temp sensor but what are the other parts for.

If you can add a picture with explanation that would be great.

The bag is mounting anchors.
The orange and black things are wire ferrules.
Not sure why either were included with a temp sensor.

I’m just going from the MPPT to battery about 3’ away.
The board is going to mount standing against the wall and batteries underneath.

Imagine the board against this wall. IMG_0763.jpeg
Tape the sensor to the battery having the sensor touch the terminal.

Not sure what I would do with the screws to mount anything.
If I did I would use a wire bracket thingy. The loop with the screw hole on the side and my own screws.
However with short distance. I was just gonna let it dangle.

Have no idea how I would use the green pieces.

So I guess it’s all extra in my case?

Yup
I believe that it would be extra parts for almost all cases.
The only thing that makes sense is that maybe it's normally part of a larger kit. And the extra parts are for some other part of the kit. (Like a SCC)
And it's cheaper for them to not stock two different inventory items.
