Rooftop passthrough, combiner, junction, rapid shutdown all in one box if you like!

I have seen this auestion pop up a bit and i like to share, so here is one of the nicest pieces of equipment for bringing wire together and through a shingled roof deck.

The bus, fusing/breaker options are din mount, a big plus and can take simple feed through terminal blocks and stops to build much of anything you could need in there.

They are thick heavy enclosures ac/dc rated and have ground and neutral bus options.

Best of all, there is absolutely no reason to stuff conduit with an elbow or outdoor quad enclosure or some other cac up there then goop seal the non fitting result to a "no caulk" flashing outside the array footprint.

Which im not sure is much better than the 'screw it we'll just wrap it down over the fascia and return to the wall', hack.

Dont get me wrong, if you are doing it yourself its your spec. If you have paid an installer, the standard is supposed to be higher.

A soladeck can mount underneath the array and thus provides concealed wiring.

(Note to other installers; Come'on thats a 30k$ machine that likely represents decades of longing and dreams and much critiscism from their friends and family for the people who commissioned you to be there wrenching it on.

Soladeck link below. They make models for communications (commdeck) and solar thermal (thermaldeck) the company owner is awesome and approachable. He will talk about his lroduct with you. Very uncommon.
