Saw this in the news this morning...wonder exactly what kind of lithium ion batteries and how it happened? Says they were large batteries, isn't Musk building something out in Vegas? Anyways ..just curious.

So much DRAMA because it was batteries... Had it been a Gasoline Tanker that flipped & burned for hours on hours emitting the toxics that go with it, they likely would not have mentioned it other than the Traffic Snarl it created. But BATTERIES are Fodder for FEARFUL HATERS and therefore Dramatic News that is blown out of proportion.

Do note the Media Alignment of "who" is reporting on such, it's eye opening. IE "News Corp" media always takes the Bad/Nasty Evil Batteries route. News Corp (Murdochs of Australia) own FOX and a LOT Print Media for example.

From the link:

The truck was carrying six industrial-scale lithium metal batteries in a container that weighed more than 75,000 pounds. It burned all night, spewing toxic gasses and was still smouldering into Saturday night as officials pondered how to extinguish and remove the wreck.

This was a cargo load which by the description could of those prebuilt electric Peaker systems, no manufacture was listed but likely something like the Tesla Megapack. It didn't spontaneously combust, something caused the trailer to overturn.

They could have easily pushed off to the side of the lanes in an hour at most. Found this on Youtube

That was Bezos stuff …I just know it.. Musk always throws in a giant explosion for the optics…
Ya know…explosions get more clicks than a simple fire.

Here's the deal! Corn Pop would have fixed this right. ........anyway...
More than likely he was driving the big rig got distracted by ice cream truck forgot to slow down for the corner. Fortunately Jill was there to tell him he did a great job.

Looks like an integrated battery, not a Mega pack, wonder who's design?
