Are you talking about VE.CAN or VE.BUS
the battery should be connected to one BMS.CAN port on a GX device

For connecting victron multiplus ii gx to jkbms I have a victron ve direct to rs232 cable, is this suitable to connect to the rs485 dongle that plugs into the jkbms?
This will be for use with https://github.com/Louisvdw/dbus-serialbattery/wiki/How-to-install.
Multiplus-ii only has one usb port and this has usb to rs485 to et112 energy meter connected.

I guess there must be an adapter made by BMS manufacturer for connecting RS485 to computer or any GX device. Check this video
No , ve direct is one way only protocol. You need to run venusOS

Just trying to set the SOC by discharging and charging and have hit an issue on the discharge.
I have 18x eve lf280k and when discharging to get the low SOC the driver(jkbms to victron driver) seems to overrule the Discharge limits, it limits discharge to 5A once the indicated SOC hits 10% or so, but until discharge to 2.5v has taken place the SOC is but an estimate.
Anyone else had this issue?
