Now you know it takes time to get a new card and lots of inconvenience. What a PIA. Use Pay Pal or something other than your CC.
How in the world could a vendor manage to cancel your card? Now you know it takes time to get a new card and lots of inconvenience. What a PIA. Use Pay Pal or something other than your CC.
Yep. Something else is going on here and it's not Eco Worthy's doing....That was your bank doing that, not the company.
Did you receive a text or an email or a phone call asking you if it was fraud?
My bank whenever I make online purchases even if it's similar to other ones I've done will randomly ask me to verify if it is fraud.
All I have to do is reply Y or N to the text.
Where were you buying them from?direct from the site? Or a vendor that sells them? Now you know it takes time to get a new card and lots of inconvenience. What a PIA. Use Pay Pal or something other than your CC.
Title doesn't say that, it says:How in the world could a vendor manage to cancel your card?
It was rejected on the eco website and about 10 minutes later from the cc company asking if I had made the purchase which I didn't because eco rejected it!That was your bank doing that, not the company.

I have had my credit card placed on a "security hold" or "frozen" until I verify the purchases. Never had it cancelled until I confirmed the fraudulent purchases. The transaction was first rejected by eco. Then the cc asked if the transaction was completed and was it made by me.Yeah your CC company will usually try to confirm the transaction. Cancelling the card is a bit extreme.
d?

Cc company is bank....Title doesn't say that, it says:
That produced a Fraud alert and cancelled card.
meaning his credit card company (not related to bank, as other post says, unless it's a bank specific CC) saw the charge as possible fraud and "cancelled" the card
Generally they'll just put a hold on the payment though. OP must have a bad track record so they cancel it instead lol

I think you are little confused about how this works. It was rejected on the eco website and about 10 minutes later from the cc company asking if I had made the purchase which I didn't because eco rejected it!
5. Your bank called you to confirm.I think you are little confused about how this works.
1. You make a purchase on the website.
2. Website submits purchase request to bank for authorization approval code.
3. Apparently your bank (CC) did not approve the purchase.
4. You were notified by Eco Worthy that your purchase did not go through.
Vendor rejected the card but then processed the payment apparently and the bank asked if I had made this transaction and I said it was rejected. How in the world could a vendor manage to cancel your card?
That's not how this worked. Immediately, within seconds, the card was rejected on the eco website. I cancelled the order and 10 minutes later I get an email from Chase, asking if I completed this purchase. Since it was obviously submitted to Chase I'm thinking that the eco site was hacked or phished.I think you are little confused about how this works.

I can't get onboard with this blanket statement. There are reasons to use CC rather than PayPal, like higher cashback, warranty, protection, points, etc.Now you know it takes time to get a new card and lots of inconvenience. What a PIA. Use Pay Pal or something other than your CC.
There are no people involved. It all happens within seconds. I am a business owner (over 30 years). I process a lot of transactions and make a lot of purchases.Vendor rejected the card but then processed the payment apparently and the bank asked if I had made this transaction and I said it was rejected.
