Hi, just activated my new kk 200amp bms changed the password from 123456 to 000000 (same as my old Daly) all was fine for a short while, now neither password works, locked out.. Can it be reset? Help! Many thanks

the same happened to me, changed the pw and now the new pw is not accepted.
The support of jk seems to be dead, the contact form doesnt work since month, mails are not answered.

Everytime I think I'm ready to pull the trigger on building my own battery there's another post like this. Why?!?

JK is the BMS that many people seem to love. My JK B2A20S20P BMS 2A BALANCE CURRENT BMS 200A BT just showed up yesterday. Still trying to to figure out where I'm going to get cells.

Zero support from JK as you say contact form doesn't work, sent emails no reply contacted the store I bought it from on Aliexpress (hankzor) who sent me a temporary password (lasts only 15 minutes) which opened the bms
. Great!! Changed the password back to 123456,didnt work tried 4 or 5 times, only worked on the temporary password, which then ran out , back to square one

It's very good, far better than my 250amp Daly.. Just don't change the password

Watched a zillion videos on YouTube of people cell buying experience on Alibaba, quishou seemed the place to buy from, so I did, good price, pretty quick shipping to the UK, all pristine, so pleased I used them again

I´m in contact with Daisy from Docan on alibaba, i hope she can help, apparently she has contact with JK

I certainly don't see the point in changing password from 123456 to 000000. What's the point? And, how many people actually NEED security against intruders on a DIY battery BMS? Just don't do it!

So, 1234 and 123456 are... difficult to remember?
And you'd want more secure ones because... you're actually worried about armies of spies within bluetooth range hacking your BMS?
And does anyone actually use those more than, like, twice?

There really was no point to change it, it was just the password from my Daly, and you're right why the hell does a bms need a password? Should be an option to turn it off

Always rely on a knob head to answer

Then they have to write it in the manual: "Do not change the password or the device will become unusable afterwards"

Perhaps a naïve question. I'm starting off with just one 16S1P battery but I might end up with multiple batteries eventually. I guess each BMS has a different serial number so you could distinguish it from the other ones when using the Bluetooth?

My take away (since no one asked) is that when you're trying to build your own battery you'd better be prepared for some warts. Since they are so cheap I'm going to keep a spare BMS. My main goal is to not end with a new full time hobby of trying to keep my battery/inverter from "crashing" and constantly dealing with odd issues that so many folks keep mentioning.

Yes each bms has its own serial number and different Bluetooth signiture, people are always going to have hiccups with their systems.

Anyone following this thread the issue is now sorted, its a bug in the latest app version, I was advised to delete it, and install an older version 4.2.8.. Which I did, still had to get a temporary password from the supplier (Hankzor) Aliexpress, got into settings changed password back to 123456, all is well ???

It's not about security, I like to have an identical password on all systems
It's sorted, it's the app not the bms, deleted it and downloaded an older version as advised from one of the forum members(thanks) 4.2.8 version
