  • Post in thread: Signature Solar refuses to honor a warranty for a defective product! (And Solar Assistant Discussion)

Signature solar warranty is: We do our best to void the warranty but, if you make the issue public then we will honor the warranty. Absolutely disgusting.
  • Post in thread: Why is solar so damn difficult?

I'm no stranger to learning and diy. I built the house I'm living in with my two hands and it took a lot of planning and research - framing, electrical, HVAC , drywall, septic etc. That was childs play compared to solar. No wonder the unsuspecting public easily falls prey to solar salespeople...
  • Post in thread: I did a thing! Sunny Island, growatt min ac coupled system

hi guys, I finally got my system set up after 1 SOLID year of researching solar PV here there and everywhere and 5 years of solar home building research and planning. I built my passive solar house with pv in mind. No penetrations on the south side. The optimizer said 32° roof angle facing 4...
  • Post in thread: Fortress 12K Buy one get one FREE!

Guys, you should all thank me for this smoking deal. I bought a new lv6048 and I knew that as soon as I ordered it a crazy deal would appear, and make me regret my purchase. Always happens. You're welcome ?

    Damn. Time for popcorn ???
  • Post in thread: What the bloody hell is wrong with me?

I told my wife I got a bonus and had to have a ton of self talk to not buy an 18kpv. I was looking at victron but their self consumption doesn't work in the USA. The only reason I would even want one is to seamlessly support ALL the loads in my house. She said "you spend so much on your...
  • Post in thread: Victron is Over-priced Eurotrash. Why would anybody buy Victron over an AiO?

How come no one ever factors in roi when they buy a sofa? Can you put a price on freedom? Etc etc. ???
  • Post in thread: the rapidly changing inverter landscape

about a year ago when I joined, it was the Schneider xw pro that was popular for low frequency, and the growatts and voltronics were popular for high frequency off grid. Now I hear almost no mention of them. That's how quickly the landscape is changing. Today 6000xp is extremely popular and we...
  • Post in thread: Who is actually manufacturing this inverter?

I haven't watched Netflix in two days for being on this site. I try to escape but the drama keeps pulling me back in ?
  • Post in thread: One Hundred Thousand!

Most diverse forum I've ever been a member of. The whole spectrum from those who believe trees have feelings and should be given hugs and want to save the planet to those who believe the government is coming for them and even the ones planning for an emp attack from China . Amazing amount of...

  • Post in thread: EG4 new AIO rated 12K output and 18kPV aka "EG4-18Kpv-12LV"

Very good news. I'm sure luxpowertek is very relieved. Solark- not so much ?
  • Post in thread: My pv journey is back on!

https://diysolarforum.com/threads/my-solar-pv-journey-is-officially-ending.61214/ I had decided not to go solar due to the cost vs benefits. Well, after being on here a while and seeing some great deals, and doing endless spreadsheets and calcations, the decision has been rescinded! ? I...
  • Post in thread: My Solar PV journey is officially ending

or at least going on a very long Hiatus. So I built a passive solar house- the roof is 35° slope facing 4° west. no penetrations, no shading. I built it to be perfect for solar panels. BUT, net metering ended two months ago before I could get in and I have spent the last two months trying to...
  • Post in thread: Victron is Over-priced Eurotrash. Why would anybody buy Victron over an AiO?

Why are we fighting? Who out there that can afford victron would choose to buy voltronic? Those of us who buy voltronic do it because victron is not within our budget No need to argue about this.
  • Post in thread: Why the laser focus on Idle Power?

Idle power is a factor 24/7. That's what it takes your inverters to run
  • Post in thread: My build thread

Is there one thread on this forum that hasn't gone off track? If it exists I haven't seen it

  • Post in thread: Batteryhookup.com wow!

These guys are something else. I was looking at their 20s packs then david poz made a vid on them and they sold out a week later. So when he made a vid on the 8s packs, with 10% discount, I jumped on them , far before I needed them. Good thing I did cos they sold out a few days later. Almost 3...

Until the rebadged eg4 version comes out then it's best thing since sliced cheese.
  • Post in thread: Another year, another warning for solar industries collapse

I believe solar sales is way dirtier than used car sales and I hope the hammer comes down on all the shady companies and practices.
  • Post in thread: Preparing for the heat...

That's actually kinda bad advice. Turning off and on frequently kills ac units and is not more energy efficient because you have a large inrush every time it turns on. Also, if your ac is oversized it doesn't run long enough to pull humidity out of the air. And where I live in the hot humid...
  • Post in thread: Midnite Solar Announced their new 10kw AIO at Intersolar Today

video but it doesn't have to be polished. zero production value is fine as long as its concrete and to the point , IMHO
  • Post in thread: EG4 new AIO rated 12K output and 18kPV aka "EG4-18Kpv-12LV"

Yes, I am comprehension challenged. So my neighbor is selling MY product and I am getting more sales overall And that's a problem for me how?
  • Post in thread: Who is actually manufacturing this inverter?

My reasons for #neversolark 1. They LIE and claim deye technology as their own 2. They've stifled competition so the price is literally double what it should be for a deye split phase inverter in the usa
  • Post in thread: Another year, another warning for solar industries collapse

It also means the future of battery storage is bright, unless they kill that too with regulations
  • Post in thread: Deciding to DIY my solar battery was one of my worst mistakes ever

ive done a lot of diy. and building a diy battery may be the easiest thing ive ever done. the 16 cells already came with busbars. I had to crimp on ends to the jk bms leads. I encased it in some plywood and it was done. literally one of the easiest projects ever.
