Terrible Signature Solar / EG4 18Kpv Experience - Returning and Replaced with Sol-Ark 15k

If you deal solar equipment, as you mentioned Solark gave you dealer pricing doesn’t that require a more full business category disclosure? and wouldn’t it color this as a business dispute involving a review discount you tried to leverage us to get? (I won’t post your implicit threat messages like you did ours)

I would love to see both sides.

I felt @Watts Happening was beyond transparent and professional, never once did I see him try to get a discount.
The EG4 didn't work for him, he moved on and is enjoying a good Deye.

Apparently you didn’t read a single word I wrote. I never once claimed to be a dealer for Sol-Ark.

I am a dealer for Battle Born Batteries, whom carries Sol-Ark products.

If you’re trying to tell me I was somehow trying to get a discount by responding to YOU messaging ME with better pricing, you’re high buddy.

I spelled it out clearly to you that I am a dealer for battle born as I just said, and legitimately wanted to get a product and review it for other members who have many times wondered how the quality and service from your company are. Let’s not try to play games here.IMG_5977.png

Why don’t you follow the rules then, identify your business affiliation in the solar market so the the people here can understand this is a B2B dispute as the policies on this forum intended?

What in the world are you talking about? There is no “business” dispute here.

I bought your inverter to install in my home. I did just that, it worked out as detailed in this thread.

Stop playing games.

Would you like to tell the people here that this forum was not mentioned in your business negotiation with Solark to become a dealer and get better pricing?

just follow the rules and let people know you are a battleborn (and now Solark) dealer in your title
I feel like you’re choosing to not read things at this point.

I am not a dealer for Sol-Ark. I do not sell Battle Born products to anyone, I have the ability to buy them as a dealer, yes. How that has ANY impact on the exact situation detailed in this thread, I do not know.

I mean, it’s not as though I wasn’t transparent with you when you chose to message me about pricing for your inverter.

I feel like you’re in la la land. Your inverter didn’t work out dude, that’s it.

If anyone has any questions, please refer to my new title and understand that this has been and always will be nothing more than a “business to business dispute”. Furthermore I am the sole provider of all Sol-Ark inverters and Battle Born batteries ever sold.

I made this entire story up, this product is flawless and my only goal was to tarnish the previously flawless record of Signature Solar in the pursuit of massive discounts and sales of the products I continually post links to.

Are we clear yet? Everyone on board?

The only time I found him mention bb was in the post below.
I really enjoyed the first line of the post he was replying to. ??

@SignatureSolarJames

Hi.

As a disinterested third party observer, in my opinion, your behavior in this thread is reflecting poorly on your organization.

If it's a hot Sunday there in TX (is a cool 109°F in AZ right now), and you've had a few brews to cool off, I suggest you make sure you're not riding the buzz as you post.

You're coming off as defensive and finger-pointy. Not a good look for Signature Solar on an extremely popular DIY solar website that likely handles support for you behind the scenes, i.e., people get help without burdening your already heavily stressed support department.

It is hot here 104F! I get that, I’m done making this point. It is an honest one but not the meat of his points to us.

We are jumping in to tech response addressing his points next week, I would be remiss to ignore the point there is a Business to Business fight in this. The readers of this thread didn’t have that clear because policies of this forum were broken. We try to play inside the rules but it has to be pointed out when the goal posts are being moved

At the end of the day, you know what sucks?

I really and truly wanted this thing to work. I tried hard for a week, I have shared the issues and it’s not as though they weren’t aware of them. I wasn’t asking for it to reinvent the wheel, it just didn’t work. I shared my frustrations in as honest and respectful of a fashion as I could, and here this guy is thinking it makes sense to try to paint the scenario as something we all know it is not.

James, I have been self employed for 20 years, my businesses are diverse across the tech field. I am a low voltage contractor, I design and install smart home technology. I am also a web designer, internet marketer and IT professional. I’ve installed solar on my RVs for years, some of the videos I’ve sent to you. These were personal projects that garnered attention and ultimately lead to me being accepted as a Battle Born dealer.

I would be MORE THAN HAPPY to share just how much of their product I sell, you’ll be astonished, it’ll look exactly like a guy who builds his own solar stuff. Find me one person on this forum I’ve tried to sell items to, and I’ll listen.

Just because I own a business, doesn’t make this a business to business transaction. Heck, if you’d like to post the last 4 digits of the card I used to pay for the transaction, I’d be happy to show everyone that it was purchased on a personal card, not a business card.

I have no horse in this race, at this point it’s almost embarrassing. I wanted to make a positive video (hell I wish I found the time to make more YouTube videos, but life gets in the way). You sounded so confident the inverter would be great and at the same time so many people were wondering if it was reliable because of the recent 8k experiences. I didn’t want to make a video to get a discount, I wanted to make a video to help you guys out with credibility, I literally said those words to you.

Can you not just realize this inverter didn’t work out, I tried to work with multiple people in your organization and it kept getting worse? Take it on the chin man, we all make mistakes and have our bad days. Stop trying to attack me with clear nonsense, it’s just making it worse.

Despite all of that, I still hope the kinks are worked out and it becomes the amazing inverter I think it can be.

I haven't seen a business to business fight yet in this. The dude has bent over backwards to put your company in a good light during his problems with the product you sold him.

What I read or took away from what I read is the slow simmering frustration with problems he shouldn't have had to deal with on the product. I have not clue as to the actual quality of the product just that he was trying to do with it what it claimed it could do.

Since the settings are "hidden" from the customer that puts the supplier/support people in the hot seat to MAKE it do what it claims to be able to do since the customer doesn't have access to all of the "tools" to do it with some settings being hidden.

I have seen enough in response to believe the op when it comes to how things happened with your employees admitting to his problems being legitimate.

I don't care if sol-ark bought the thing personally because someone from eg4/seller has to make it work so trying to make him out to be a sol-ark distrubitor really doesn't matter now does it?

This nonsense is exactly why I stated earlier in this thread that it would be great if Will got the inverter to play with and figure it out. We aren't going to get a report we will all believe of what actually happened with this inverter from SS.
