Thanks for the response. I have a clear hose over the threaded rod

I think Sunshine Eggo offered a solution " I recommend you remove the charge controller and battery and connect the panel directly to the pump. At least you will be able to run the pump when there is enough sun."

  • Post in thread: The 16s 48v build finally begins

I am just about to start my 48 v battery. Could you tell me how you will wire it up. Are shunts necessary?
  • Post in thread: Separators between cells?

I use the fan to circulate air around my inverter. My thought is that even though it's hot air, it's cooler then the inverter. The inverters do have their own fans so it is not necessary I suppose. I never thought it might actually be warming the battery up. It does not cool down much at...

Thanks for the response Mister Sandals. I got it working. I disconnected the positive cable from the working battery and as soon as the battery with the BMS that was not working was the only battery hooked up it started charging and discharging. I hooked the other battery positive cable...

Could one cell be hitting the high voltage cut off? Just a thought.

Some how I missed your response. Sorry. It would seem that you nailed it with your advice. Thanks again.

  • Post in thread: JBD Bluetooth

It was disconnecting the two BMS, connecting the one not working on its own, it started working, and then hooking up the other one with it.

I'm in Qld. Bundaberg area. I I run my Mitsubishi split system around 25c. No problems. I reckon 20 degrees is going to be a problem. Takes a lot of power to go from 32 - 36 deg to 20. Good luck.
  • Post in thread: Is this Blue Sea Systems 6007 battery selector / disconnect a no go for a 48V LiFePO4 pack?

Our battery switches have a 48-volt Maximum rating. So typically, 12, 24- & 36-volt systems that would never exceed 48 volts. Our switches are not rated for 48-volt systems that will reach near 60 volts in some cases. That would be well over the max we have been approved for by the UL Listing we...

I downloaded the Overkill app and it connects. I can see FET Software locked Could that be my problem. I am not all that good with computers, still on my learning curve. So your patience is appreciated The FET software is not locked on my battery that is working. So if that is the...
  • Post in thread: Signing up to Alibaba

I am looking to buy some more cells. Shenzhen Luyuan is often recommended. You have to sign up to Alibaba to order or contact the seller. Reading terms and conditions makes me reluctant to use Alibaba. Any way to buy from Shenzhen Luyuan with out signing up to Alibaba?

I just got a price Of A$270 per cell for grade A here in Australia. Wondering if the price on the next batch the shop buys will go down? I am willing to pay a bit more to avoid the hassle of dealing with China. (I got burned once already.) But US $ 100 = A$ 152. Big difference

Have you had a chat to the other's about contributing. With the cost of fuel they may see the benefit of solar. You would have to explain how to operate and maintain the equipment. If they are not interested then you could ask how they would feel if you set up a system for your exclusive...

The first screen shot is the battery that is working . The second is the problem one. I turned both yellow slides off and on. Nothing.

I am using the overkill app and when I go to calibrate no warning comes up . I can input figures, but when I push "Write" it does not change the existing figure. Any thoughts?
  • Post in thread: Need to replace batterry bank

Gday, Mate. From what I have been reading about LiFePO4, it's a guessing game as to the quality of batterys you get. I would love to replace with them, my preferred choice really. What is a "reputable" brand to buy??
  • Post in thread: JBD Bluetooth

Still wondering if this is the problem. Would the resistance in the different wires cause my problem? One BMS has the two wires and the one not working has the one wire
  • Post in thread: JBD Bluetooth

The non working one is hooked up in series with the working one. All the charge goes into the working one. All the discharge comes out of the working one
