Thanks, Steve and the rest of you, for bringing up concerns.
I have an appointment with Justin at Panels Up Solar in Gulfport, MS, on the 28th of this month for Justin to do whatever he wants.
I will for sure, as im guessing this will not be cheap, but it will be better and safer when he is done.
The best part is if you have him start a system from scratch, he uses all Victron stuff, so as the distributor said, he knows his stuff.
I made it clear do what you want and add anything I...
Thank you, I sent a copy of this to Justin, and he was reviewing my pictures and hopefully will decide to look everything over and do whatever add-ons or adjusting he wants.
Like I told him, you dont need to ask me; just do what you want, and I will write a check.
Problem with the professionals...
I understand that, but dont feel it's my place to show his work.
What I thought would be a one-day job, and he said maybe two days was a five-day job.
He tore out ALL the wiring and started over.
Went from 2ga to 4 ot, moved the inverters closer to the batteries, installed four extra boxes. And...
Guys dont know enough to help out here, but batteries are now on the same side as inverters, and lead cable from batteries is 12 to 18 inches long without checking.
But thanks for the review!
Appreciate all the responses; although most are greek to me again, you guys are great.

The only smart thing I did was buy the Austin about two years before I got my license to drive,
so I had plenty of time to work on it.
I had it three months and came home from school, and mom said some guy wants to buy your Austin, lol, sold.?
I took the money and bought a 51 Pontiac straight...
Im stupid when it comes to this, but he has several busbars with fuses and lights that turn red to show you what fuse blew in that busbar—scattered out through the system.
Batteries are in sets of 3, and if I understand, it's a two-part system for efficiency??
I dont think I could hit 4000...
Yea, I told him he was welcome to replace the old one, and he said it was fine, so leave.
But it was because of that transfer switch that you guys scared me to death, and then the melted fuse block did not blow.
Im thrilled to no end thanks to you guys its now safe and works like a house.
The reason for my post, to begin with, as I was told I did not need the transfer switch, so I took a picture of the whole setup and never mentioned the dealer's name.
Like I said before, everything worked, and I ass-u-med the 30 seconds shut down was normal.
I do want to thank you guys for...
They are held with metal screwed into floor.
I guess that keeps batteries from moving.
I was going to build a metal top hold down, but these seem very solid, so I did not bother.
No, the lights stayed .when breakers shut off.
Gfi, I plugged in my wife's hair curling iron.
There was a five-second shock to the inside system as coffee in the microwave stopped then started.
Wow, im not good with electrical, so I hope I gave what you want.
The batteries are on the other side directly across from the Victron items, so maybe 8 feet.
Looked under by batteries and the Victron
But saw no ground.
The wire from fuse goes up to a generator and runs the microwave.
Generator...
Thank you, sir; I can restore your car build your engine, or write a formula for a new product related to paint, but never learn electrical; this is why im trying to find someone around Georgia I can hire to make it the way it should be.
I have had no luck finding someone.
As far as cheap, I...
Im in Gulfport now; Justin has been working on it and may not be done until Saturday, but that's fine.
He gets people from around the country that bring their RVs to him, and they fly home until it's ready to pick up.
This guy knows his chit!!
All he does is Victron; I cant to tell you how wrong...
That is something I won't do is post pictures for a couple of reasons.
First, he asked if he could relocate the whole system as he wanted the batteries and inverters as close as possible.
I said, you do what you think is best.
Now, I know he holds training classes on weekends for pros and...
My first Lucas was around 1968 or so; I saved paper route money and bought an Austin Healy,?? duh.
All these years of collecting cars guess that is why German and American only.
This is my first RV, and we looked for five months nonstop.
It came down to your choice and the Nexus.
Nexus had a few things I wanted but could not find on one at a dealer, so I ordered it.
I have already learned if I can fix it the he** with going to the dealer and so far I have fixed a few...
Ok, step 1, I have six 206 amp lithium batteries to the fuse block.
I have looked and can't find a drawing of how it should be set up with separate busbars and wired from there to the one fuse or two?
Can anyone point me in the right direction for a picture of the proper way?
I assume I need to...
When I bought my SOK 6-206 amps batteries, they said you could install them on their sides or upside down as not an issue.
The RV dealer installed the right side up.
Thank you, guys; the first picture from the battery fuze going to box side
The following picture is on the box side.
The following picture is where both reds go
The black goes to the first inverter, and the following picture shows black from the inverter goes to a junction of some sort.
Black goes from the battery to the other side and connects to the top. The bottom black comes from the first inverter.
Then in the second picture is where goes next?
A body ground?????
I have two gauge, should I gound that connecter to frame? It's an international frame so; not afraid to drill a...
I agree. I will take a few pictures tonight.
Never let a dealer touch your solar system; that was my stupidity.
The only intelligent thing I did was buy the Victron and not let them pick out the cheap crap they would use.
Here is how I look at it; I told the deal to install like the RV was...
Thank you, guys, everything works ok, and it's been about nine months.
Yesterday I went through and torqued all the ends, including grounds, in the fuse box.
A lot of loose ends, but they are too spec now.
My initial concern was being told the new multiplex 3000 did not need a transfer switch...
Only getting to 60 today; here, 43 now; this is a nasty week.
I moved to Ga from FL in 85, and I live 65 miles north of Atlanta airport, and my plant is 83 miles north of my house; it's about a 5 to 10-degree difference colder at the plant.
This is the coldest winter I can remember.
In short, I ordered a new super c motor home and ordered all Victron from battleborn; knowing nothing, I said send what I need.
Included 2 3000 multiplexes and ordered 6 206 amps lithiums that Will tested
Put all on a pallet and shipped to RV dealer up north where motorhome was delivered.
In 9...
No hope to find a pro to take off the switch box and wire to inverters and make sure inverters are parallel wired.
And then add any other toys they may think would help.
As far as battery wiring, they can do or pretty sure with schematics I can do.
Everything works well, so I believe getting rid...
No, the two house batteries I gave away.
The cummings have two separate batteries, but when running, it will charge the solar lithiums.
The fridge is 110 volt only.
Sorry I missed this yesterday
I can run both air conditioners as I did all summer long in Florida.
I have 2 of the multi plus 2 in now.
If not on shore power, all I need to do is fire up the oan generator and charge the batteries right up, and run the air at the same time.
Guys, I answer a chemical tech line 7 days a week for all of north and south America; I talk to
Professionals and not so professional, so I know putting up with my ignorance is not easy, and I know that.
Im intelligent enough to know this is way over my head, and if I can find someone to hire...
I know how to get to Gulfport.
Bet the guy's name is Justin F.
It's a name i was given by a Victron dealer today; he said he knows his stuff.
Also gave me a name in Jacksonville.
It sounds like the system is excellent but like buying a Ferrari and needing tires.
Need some that can finish adding...
