  • Post in thread: Blue Carbon lifepo4 batteries

No post since last year. Anymore recent input. Just curious because I live in the Philippines and there are not many choices here. I see Blue Carbon batteries for sale online for a decent price. They have decent reviews here. Unfortunately, we do not have a lot of choices here.
  • Post in thread: Solar panel stew

You could try both ways to see what works best. Just make sure that the voltage is less than 60V (I think it can actually go up to 67V without faulting). Hopefully the current and voltage ratings of the panels are similar. If the voltage is too high, then you might have to put them in parallel...
  • Post in thread: Help with figuring out how to add more power to my Bluetti AC200P.

I could be wrong, but I think that recrisp wants to get an external battery and hook it up via one of the DC charging input to increase his capacity. Take a look at the video on the Amazon site for the for the AC200P. It looks like the easiest way is to purchase an external battery and hook it...

Here is the link to the the AC200P on Amazon. Watch the video at the top of the page. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08W2XWQ7H/ref=emc_bcc_2_i?th=1 If you do this, just make sure that you get the polarity right.
  • Post in thread: can I use a titan battery to input power thru the solar input of a bluetti?

ed6269: I just purchased an EB150 and also want to extend my capacity by hooking up an external battery. I am also trying to figure out if they have input current limiting on the DC input. I sent a message to Bluetti but have not received a response yet. Did you get an answer from Bluetti or did...
  • Post in thread: Help with figuring out how to add more power to my Bluetti AC200P.

I did send a message to Bluetti on their website about hooking up a battery directly to the DC input of the EB150 and they said it was OK. Since you can buy an adaptor with battery clamps for the AC200P, then they do allow it. Anyway, it would not hurt to call them just for piece of mind. You...
  • Post in thread: External battery charging a bluetti ep1500?

    ED6269, I sent you a message.
  • Post in thread: Solar charging battery, that then charges AC200Max

Just to be clear, you ran 3 batteries in series directly into your PV DC input (with no type of current limiter)? In my case, I just use one battery as backup so I use a DC to DC converter coming off of the battery to the DC input of my EB150. I can raise or lower the voltage and also limit the...
  • Post in thread: Help with figuring out how to add more power to my Bluetti AC200P.

It would at least give you a little more capacity during a power outage. I have and EB150 and am considering that. I just need to keep a fridge and wifi running to get by. recrisp: There are also some Youtube videos of people hooking up batteries to the input of various Bluetti models. If it...
  • Post in thread: Basic Solar Setup (About Polarized Circuit Breakers)

I read some quite a few posts since I created this post. That seems to be the consensus and it does make sense. I noticed that some of the experts on this forum had different opinions on the direction between the PV and SCC, but all agreed on the SCC/battery side. I did find a video that says to...

OK.. I am curious if you tried hooking up a battery directly to your EB150 DC Input?
  • Post in thread: External battery charging a bluetti ep1500?

I think it is worth trying. I am thinking about getting an EB150 soon. I asked on the Bluetti forum and a moderator said yes, it is fine and has input current limiting. I also saw it done on Youtube.
  • Post in thread: Solar charging battery, that then charges AC200Max

Did you actually try those experiments? Also, did you use the D050S, or go directly from the battery to the PV input?
  • Post in thread: Fried EB150 BMS - Any Replacements?

I suggest that you try the Bluetti Site. They also have a forum there.
  • Post in thread: 12v or 24v Solar Array for Bluetti EB240?? Mix and match?

Evidently, they EB240 and EB150 have current limiting on the DC (charging) input, so you want to get the total voltage of your series panels as close the 60V limit as you can. It has over voltage protection that will halt charging and error if the input voltage reaches 73V according to the manual.
  • Post in thread: External battery charging a bluetti ep1500?

Yes, that is one way to go. I did that. My DC to DC converter has an adjustable regulated voltage and current output so I can adjust it as desired . The original poster wanted to know if you can go directly into the DC charging input without a converter. Since the current is limited to 10A, the...
  • Post in thread: Help with figuring out how to add more power to my Bluetti AC200P.

You should be OK. I would recommend getting all the stuff that you need for the external battery hook-up soon. If you are in an area that loses power frequently, it is better to have everything ready ahead of time. We have a lot of power issues where I live and that is why I got a couple of...
  • Post in thread: Bad connector throwing shade on trip.

Yes. Just make sure the polarity is correct. If it were me, I would just change the 7909 (8mm) connector. You could also purchase another cigarette lighter to 7909 (8mm) connector. If you get a new one and repair the old one, then you would have a spare.
  • Post in thread: Bad connector throwing shade on trip.

Just search "7909 adaptor", or "connector". Can also search "8mm adaptor" or "connector" on Amazon. They have some options will "hopefully" suit your needs.
  • Post in thread: Help with figuring out how to add more power to my Bluetti AC200P.

I did the same thing for my EB150. I can adjust the current and voltage so it gives a CV/CC charge. Mine is smaller because I only use for power backup. If I want to extend the capacity, I just hook it up to the DC input and adjust the voltage and current.
  • Post in thread: Basic Solar Setup (About Polarized Circuit Breakers)

I have an electronics background, but new at solar. I want to do a small starter solar setup. Please see the attached sketch. My question is, if I use polarized DC breakers, is the diagram correct? My plan was to use them as disconnects/protection for the panel to SCC, SCC to battery, and...
  • Post in thread: Basic Solar Setup (About Polarized Circuit Breakers)

My main concern is the SCC to Battery connection. The solar panel to SCC should be correct because the + side of the CB is connected to the panel (power source). The inverter should be correct because it the + side of the CB is connector is connected to the battery (power source). I am not sure...
