  • DIY 9.88 Enphase system EZ PZ!

Hi, in case anyones interested, I thought I’d chronicle my lo-buck grid tie system. Just A couple years ago we got a bid to do a 7 kW system on our house and the price came in at $41,000 this seemed ridiculous to me so we put it on the back burner. Fast forward to last year, I started a job...
  • Enphase ct200 consumption meters wont fir my panel, options?

I have a CutlerHammer 200 amp meter socket combo panel. There are bus bars from the meter socket to the breakers. One of the ct200’s can fit around L1’s bar but the other one wont. Is there a work around or other ootion for CT’s on panels like these?
  • continuous (unbroken) ground path?

My ground comes down from the jb on the roof to the enphase combiner via EMT. The enphase has a ground terminal strip. I cut the ground conductor attached each resulting end to the terminal strip, The ground conductor then goes out of the enphase combiner in EMT to the MSP. There it is...
  • is there an inverter that can grid tie and or off grid?

I want to power shop with 240 split phase, and automatically send excess back to grid. Does such a device exist?
  • Absolutely maxing out an Enphase Iq7+ Envoy system

Anybody exceeded the max micro count on a string? I now have 52 Iq7+ micros installed on 4 arrays (3 roof elevations, 1 ground mount). There are 26 385watt panels I purchased new plus 26 panels I salvaged from various upgrade jobs and shipping damaged mods. (I work in solar industry, have...
  • Breakers warm, normal?

2 strings of 13 panels, both on 20 amp breakers in Enphase envoy combiner, They are warm to the touch when in peak production. At what temp should I be concerned? Guessing they’re at about115f/ 46c.
  • End clamps for older 50 mm panels???

I got a few dozen older BP Solar 230 watt panels (free) from an upgrade job (homeowner did not want old panels) I cant find an end clamp that will work on these. I mounted some of these on unistrut racking ground mount but had to use carriage bolts drilled through the mod rail for my ends. Iron...
  • Will power company notice?

Lets say someone has a grid tie system permitted for 8kw. This system rarely ever sends more than 6kw back. If a couple more strings were added, and started pushing 9-10kw back would they care?
  • Can Unirac flashloc Comp feet go vertical?

I am mounting 13 panels on my garage roof. The garage has a 12/12 pitch (45 degree). Since I’m doing this myself, I think it would be easier and safer for me to run the rails vertically, then I can slap panels from the bottom up, iron ridge UFO’s with stopper sleeves so I wont struggle holding...
