Yeah...probably going with PETG myself. Little bit stronger.
  • Post in thread: Dr Strangetroll : or how I learned to stop arguing and be amused by the intransigence

LOL...so my phone auto completed! What a moron.. So what does DEW stand for and why were people following you? What made you think people were following you? You have a history of delusional behavior? BTW...fuel prices and prices rising in general is a world wide issue and not just due to the...

What holds them(cells) together at the bottom?
  • Post in thread: Did i wreck my battery?

No 12.01V is around 50% SOC...it's not fully discharged. You may reduce the battery's capacity by further discharging it but it is in no way fully discharged.
  • Post in thread: 280ah Battery Top and Bottom Support Design.

My problem is going to be the end pieces. My printer is not tall enough to do them so I will have to redesign those somehow.
  • Post in thread: Hooking up a BMS and wire guage

How short are your 6 AWG wires going to be? If you were actually flowing 200A through one 6AWG wire that was 6" long, it would only drop 0.0125V. Not a lot really. Since there are two(one going in and one going out, it will be 0.025 which is not much.

LOL...you deleted your wave guide comment since that is also not true. 10Ghz radars are very common and you don't need to transmit 10GHz down a waveguide. Coax works fine for that. GPS also works at 10GHz. you think your GPS antenna in your phone uses waveguides?
  • Post in thread: Pictures - Battery bank clamp assembly

Where did you buy these plates? I was just going to use my plasma cutter and cut mine out out of a larger plate.
  • Post in thread: Victron SCC odd behavior, scratching my head

Seems like that won't even work. How can a BMS passively balance cells if you are actively putting a lot of current into them?
  • Post in thread: Any ideas for a good power supply for 24 volt lifepo batteries?

LOL...I am reading directly off the manual. I am done...you are hopeless.
  • Post in thread: Confused about what a Victron Smart Shunt or BMV does

I can be inside my house and am able to connect to my BMV 712 in my trailer in my front yard. Location services has to be turned on on Android devices. That's just a function of bluetooth low energy with Android. That is true with any BLE device...not just Victron. Victron is not going to track...
  • Post in thread: WFCO "Autodetect" charging issues

You likely have a huge voltage drop between the converter and the battery. Measure the voltage at the converter and the battery when you first turn the converter on and it is still in bulk charge mode. What size wire is between your converter and battery?
  • Post in thread: Is it ok to top balance LiFeP04 cells if solar system won't be assembled for a month or two?

I top balanced my 280AH Eve cells and all 10 are within 0.02 V after 2 months.
  • Post in thread: Disconnect 7-PIN for charging

Assuming a 2007 has a trailer module. Your 2017 definitely does.
  • Post in thread: Dr Strangetroll : or how I learned to stop arguing and be amused by the intransigence

Well...we are on the same page there. Next question...if you are person who doesn't know if they have an underlying condition or not, doesn't that mean everyone?
  • Post in thread: Custom 3D Printed Bus Bar Covers

I have a Prusa MK3s+ and they just came out with the latest model MK4 at the same price as the old model! No better time to buy one. I am going to spending the $575 to upgrade mine to the new model specs. fully assembled https://www.prusa3d.com/product/original-prusa-mk4-2/ kit...
  • Post in thread: Copper or Tinned Coppers Lugs for Tinned Copper Bus Bar

    You don't solder lugs...crimp only.
  • Post in thread: recommended lifepo 12V charger

LOL...why would you disable bluetooth since its great for determining what the charger is doing and changing settings? I love this charger. Best portable charger out there.
  • Post in thread: dc-dc charger question

Just go to their website and you will find them. They are very expensive https://sterling-power.com/collections/battery-to-battery-chargers
  • Post in thread: Alternator charging LiFePO4 ?

LOL a masters in computer science! Get a spec chart and you will see it won't come close to 400A until thousands of RPMs over what the alternator will be putting out at engine idle. Then you post a video of a regular automotive alternator. Get a freaking clue. You even know what a 50 DN...
  • Post in thread: DC to DC charger and Solar at the same time

There is a range of the max recommended charge current for AGM batteries and it varies depending on manufacturer from 0.1C to 0.3C. For most I see, it's 0.2C which would be 48A in your case. The reality though is that the battery pretty much accepts what its going to accept and pretty much self...
  • Post in thread: Renogy DC DC Charger w/ MPPT

I have a 30A Victron MPPT. I use a 50A breaker driving a 6AWG wire. Absolutely ZERO need or want to have a 100A fuse protecting the circuit.
  • Post in thread: Custom aluminum battery compression enclosure

If this is for a non mobile environment, then you might be ok. For anything that goes into a boat, car, truck, trailer or motorhome...no way! I 3d printed my spacers but since I am building a 3d printed case, they needed to be thicker than necessary. 2mm would have been fine with the material I...
  • Post in thread: WAS: LifeP04 meltdown in a Sprinter van ?

I am supposed to prove people weren't stalking you with direct energy weapons? So what kind of direct energy weapons were they stalking you with? Converter microwave ovens with antennas? LOL Do you also want me to prove they weren't really aliens too?
  • Post in thread: Pulled the trigger, need a box...

No...how do you keep them from swelling more than 0.5mm?
  • Post in thread: measurement unit consensus.

Yep...of course the dumb asses are now on here making it political.
  • Post in thread: Charging 24V LiFePo4 from a set 27V power source?

130A max for a 6KWh bank? That sounds super low. The bank itself will not limit its input to 130A...you have to control that. As far as the voltage is concerned, it will actually charge at a somewhat high rate at low SOC but VERY slow when it gets to be at a higher SOC.
  • Post in thread: Custom 3D Printed Bus Bar Covers

Hence the reason I don't print ABS. Absolutely no need since ASA is available and it's better than ABS. Running a gas stovetop without the hood fan running is likely worse.
