    Growatt 24V SPF 3000TL LVM – 3kW

mine look like they are smaller than 3/8" so if I had to guess I'd say 5/16" My electrician made that connection so not sure.

    EMP Protection

You can purchase a EMP Shield device and install it on your main breaker box. It will protect up to 200 ft of wire in any direction from your panel box. Will protect your Inverter from conductive emp surges including all levels of EMP. Will not protect against inductive on the box itself...

How do I tilt my panels when roof faces east?

I don't know where you find 2kw of panels for 400.00. I was looking to save roof space with a panasonic over 350 watt panel so I wouldn't need to series them, just 6 in parallel . It runs around 345.00 per panel. I can get cheaper panels with lower output, but don't have that much roof space. I...

How do I tilt my panels when roof faces east?

Thanks for your reply I have always read that panels should always face south, so wasn't sure if it would work at all with facing east. You're telling me it will work, at least in the morning. That's good. As far as west facing, I can do that on my garage roof, but then would need a way to...

How do I tilt my panels when roof faces east?

My roof faces east, gets plenty of sun in the morning, but not direct sun in the afternoon. Is there an auto tilt mechanism to keep my panels facing the sun?

Wanting to piece a system together.

You're welcome Think of it this way. Someone gets in an accident and totals an electric car. Batteries in a protected enclosure are fine and only 3 months old. Better they not be wasted or in a landfill I say.

Does Open circuit voltage multiply by number of panels?

I've been looking at panels, and found the Panasonic HIT 330W Solar Panel 96 Cell VBHN330SA17 $334.26 per item . These produce 69.7 VOC per panel, so I would just connect 6 of them in parallel to get my wattage requirements. Am I thinking correct? Is there a downside to using a panel with a high...

Does Open circuit voltage multiply by number of panels?

Thanks, however being in the south, we rarely go below 40 degrees. usually over 70. Should I allow for the twice a year freeze in my calculations?

Wanting to piece a system together.

I also have a 3kw Growatt, currently as a backup system for computers, frig, and chest freezer, CPAPS , and a few lights. I pull about 720 watts with 3 computers on, and the food storage devices, and office lights (2 =4 bulb fluorescent fixtures converted to LED tube bulbs, awesome efficiency)...

Does Open circuit voltage multiply by number of panels?

My growatt inverter manual says that open circuit voltage my not exceed 145 volts DC. So for a renogy 300 watt, 24 volt panel, the open circuit voltage is 38.80. Since I'm running a 48 volt system, I would need 3 of them to get to 72 volts, above the 60 volt minimum of the MPPT voltage range...
