I think I crawl up on the roof one time when the neighbor (local utility engineer who approves the solar permits) isn't around and figure out how to rewire the strings without removing panels. Just leave one panel in each string unconnected.
I ran it for a few weeks without batteries as a dc inverter, and ac pass through. It worked, but had a few minor issues. The solarak support was friendly and helpful, and they are the ones who insisted things definitely work better with a battery. Once my batteries were built and attached all...
Mine has been up is a dc coupled and ac coupled mode. Had a few issues solark support was quick to help with and resolve. The grid sellback setting is a little inaccurate. I am allowed to sell back 10kw. When set to 10,000 watts I was sending back around 10,600, with periodic spikes up to...
That is what this entire thread is about. The seplos battery kits were designed in response to sergea's request. My understanding is he footed the cost of the engineering for these kits. That we have them at all is a reflection of his willingness to share his idea with a company and pay for...
I have batteries from both Docan, and Basen. Both appear to be new Grade A new cells. The Docan have the posts like your photo, and the Basen have M6 screws. The prices you quote are actually a little high for on hand versus sea freight delivery (I am in the US and do not know the precise...
I think we are on the same page. There are 3 possible AC inputs in the lower right side of the solar inverter. You can ac couple on the grid or load inputs of the solark inverter. You can also ac couple on the gen side if you are off grid. So you can technically ac couple on all 3 inputs...
The vertical pipes are 10 feet in length. The 5 1/2 OD heavy wall pipes are 5-6 feet down. Has anyone ever tried to pull out a ground rod? Try pulling these out. They are then welded together horizontally and on the diagonal brace locking them into a unit that is not easily displaced. They...
Most towns of any size, and many surprisingly small ones will also have a dedicated electrical supply store that is not Lowes or a home improvement store. They will definitely know all the local electricians. If you need help with anything electrical, go hang out at the counter there for a bit...
I have a basement install on the common wall with the stairway. You can hear a little noise in the stairway adjacent to where the inverter is mounted if the fan is running. It is slightly audible through an unisunulated 2x4 and drywall walI. You don't really notice it when it is running...
I did read the BMS manual. I was aware of the fact it takes time to learn the behavior and capacity via multiple charge/discharge cycles.. I was providing a review of my experience with the battery (as requested), and verifying the experience and documentation match. I was not criticizing the...
Have 4 boxes currently in service. They work as advertised. Charging to 90% and discharging to 10%. Only issue is the battery bms kept changing the desired charge values on the solarak inverter. I reset the charge, float, and equalization values via the solark, and it was changed the next...
On the hybrid inverter side the only thing currently on the market is the solark15kw (which should be shipping in days). The other option is multiple smaller units in parallel.
Not all power companies allow grid sell back, let alone even offer net metering. Many connections don't even have...
Video of the sinclair ground mount system in action from Engineer 775 (this guy is very respected and knows what he is doing). The video is about the Solark 15, but in it he shows the ground mount sinclair being driven directly into the earth. The sinclair system is engineered, and on an...
You can go off grid for 30k (especially in addition to your existing solar equipment). Build the house first. Figure out your required load and then design a system to meet your needs. You can build with a generator.
I don't think I would spend any more USD to build an off grid system...
Price per watt is the metric you need to look for. Your best bet is Signature in Sulphur Springs. The panels weigh 60-70 lbs each. 10 panels plus packaging will weigh 750lbs. Not a tremendous amount of weight, but enough to noticeably cut your fuel mileage. You don't want to haul them back...
GSL is releasing a new 48volt, 120/240 split phase, 10kw version of the megarevo. Looks like they are the first to market with upgraded capacity 48 volt version. Megarevo does have larger capacity inverters, but all in the high battery voltage range.
Your bank has received multiple revisions. After submitted the last one, they contacted my bank and asked why we keep submitting revisions for funds that they don't have. Our international wire team verified with your bank that the funds were disbursed from your bank to your company account on...
We have a ground mount and have never thought twice about letting the kids play around it. As long as they are not yanking on the wires there is nothing they can do to hurt it.
Contact someone who builds fences (check craiglist). Your basic corner post fence is a 4 or 5 inch schedule 80 or higher steel pipe that is pounded into the ground and the "h braces" are welded. The same guy can pound the posts wherever you want, at whatever height you need. He will also weld...
The issue is probably how "clean" the power is from the durostar. Lots of voltage and frequency fluctuation from those little sets. They will destroy plug in power equipment fairly quickly, and those tools are designed for dirty power.
I would also really like a clean unified box with independent battery breakers. An upgraded version of that box that would handle heavier load would be a no brainer purchase for me.
Where di you find online videos of the Huaya 10k? I would very much like to see those and hear about any other resources with more detail on the Huaya inverter.
I am at 9 weeks waiting. Also paid for air freight. Was assured 2 weeks ago they would arrive on the 25th (today). The tracking numbers still do not work, and no sign of the boxes.
I spent a few days going over the wires, and terminals with adam. He never would confirm the connection type...
I too have been waiting without any answers from Adam. I paid for air freight delivery of 4 kits the first week of March. Before paying I was assured they were in stock and would ship within 1 week. Every inquiry has been met with either silence, or please be patient we have a covid shipping...
That does look quite sturdy. I was told 95 kilograms assembled (210 pounds). Was planning on welding up a small rack to hold them. Still waiting on shipping. Any issues with assembly?
The state of charge is not exact. It took several days of complete charge/discharge for the bms to learn the capacity. It is getting more accurate every day. I have all 4 boxes in parallel. The inverter will report a charge value and the 4 boxes will all have different values, that average...
Ray, they told me exactly what I have posted each and every time. I have tried to share information as accurately as possible. I have spoken with and exchanged emails with a few solark reps over the course of this thread. They are all friendly and helpful.
Let me be clear. Why don't you...
