This is a technical forum where we share technical information. At the very least you need to share the technical information of what's wrong before delving into the emotional customer service stuff. This forum needs evidence and information before we'll dogpile onto a vendor or manufacturer...

  • Post in thread: Victron is Over-priced Eurotrash. Why would anybody buy Victron over an AiO?

At least it will last a lifetime.
  • Post in thread: Victron is Over-priced Eurotrash. Why would anybody buy Victron over an AiO?

Maybe they cater to people who don't want to setup lawn chairs in front of their inverters and stare at them while on the phone with tech support.
  • Post in thread: So I am going to try my hand at reconditioning lead acid batteries...

Cook the battery with the caps off for a bit and look at each cell. The first cell to start to gas is the bad one and closer inspection will most likely reveal trashed, crumbling plates. If equalization alone won't fix it, the battery is done. I would instead use the time to get a second job...

Yeah so when your Predator quits at night, you'll still have a light to see Predators.

  • Post in thread: Half price electric cars

Wind turbines harness kinetic energy from the wind which is the result of the heating of a gas. Unfortunately you cannot control when the heating of that gas so it's output is variable. Windmills were used to harness energy before gasoline cars were invented and are another example of going...

Unfortunately the corresponding increase in your bodies radiant surface area causes net heat loss. ?
  • Post in thread: Ordered new batteries from USA/Canadian company and they are not honouring their warranty

The longer they wait to replace the better it is for you. Also, I hope they shaft you since you expect them to warranty the 3 you didn't pay for. How weird is it that you would even have the gall to ask them to do that?

  • Post in thread: Framing the container

If your budget is less than $100.00 and you don't want to buy wood or screw anything to the wall, that doesn't leave many options other than just buying a couple tubes of adhesive and sitting inside container and huffing it. Also, we were trying to help and merely posted what we had done to...
  • Post in thread: Trump

When democrats win we all lose. You also failed to state what threats you're talking about. And yes, we absolutely hate the guts of the vaccine-mandating lockdowner commie parasites currently in charge and the enablers who vote for them. 😁
  • Post in thread: Climate change, COVID, and other things...

I thought it was 1 million. You guys always say 1 million. It's also worth noting that it was the scientific community that let the germs out of its lab in the first place and then lied about it.
  • Post in thread: Half price electric cars

Not that kind of don't care. I don’t want gas vehicles regulated out of existence until electric cars and trucks can do exactly what gas cars and trucks can do for the exact same price or less with equal service/repair costs 10 years down the road. The lack of empathy from the EV dorks who...
  • Post in thread: My LiFePO2 battery caught fire

OP, This thread has earned you zero fans but maybe that's what you wanted since the noise they make bothers you anyway.
  • Post in thread: Trump

Are you expecting some independent rogue who gets along with nobody and has nobody backing him as the only acceptable candidate? That seems out of touch with reality. The big government cat is out of the bag. If Trump wasn't at least somewhat good for the United States they wouldn't be...
  • Post in thread: Is Battleborn worth it? $$$$

They use cylindrical cells which are supposed to be more durable. IMO, they are definitely not worth it for a stationary application or motorhome. Maybe a good choice for an overlander or something like that. The cost/benefit has been superceded.
  • Post in thread: Trump

The Neocon party of Bush is the same party of Obama and Biden. Let's NOT forget that. We want conservative, not republican
  • Post in thread: Shipping Container solar AC

Again, if it works it works but I would opt to roof the outside and get some eaves and shade the container that way. I was only going to put the roof that the panels are mounted on but then opted to do the whole container. 12' x 3' metal sheets are currently $50.00 at homes depot so 15 sheets...

We are supposed to be dead from Aids and Rainforest destruction already.
  • Post in thread: Inflation Reduction Act may be Unconstitutional - Take your Credits ASAP

The crappy part is that I'm 100% for a good amount of reduction in fossil fuel usage but liberal retards don't care about the environment, they just want more control.
  • Post in thread: Domestic Terrorist

Men are naturally programmed to defend women and children. We all experience a deep visceral reaction when we see a women or child being harmed or even just plain hurt. The left is doing their best to insult and confuse this natural instinct. I'm supposed to defend and protect children once...
  • Post in thread: Can Solar & Wind Fix Everything (e.g., Climate Change) with a battery break-through?

Agree that continued energy storage development is good. I envision a world where the siding and roofing on a structure is all solar and easily serviceable with batteries in each house and of course tied into a grid where power sharing occurs. I don't agree on synthetic meats. Quality of life...

  • Post in thread: Signature solar horrible customer service

Everyone gets grumpy this time of year. Low Kwh harvests during the winter. Guys have to drag out the mules to get water out of the well and take cold showers while eating cold soup out of a can. At least if they have an EG4 AIO they can warm their hands and beverages up on the case of the unit.
  • Post in thread: Trump

Of course that's why they raided his place. He took just a tiny fraction of dirt on these folks. He's quite good at not letting on as to the things he knows. Some of it I'm sure was "russiagate" stuff. Essentially intelligence showing the whole thing was a hoax.

  • Post in thread: Can Solar & Wind Fix Everything (e.g., Climate Change) with a battery break-through?

All liberals are perpetually adolescent. They want freedom without responsibility and are generally uncomfortable making any decisions on their own and get upset when people around them are able to do so. I would have let it go and helped with Barn pre-covid but not now. I don't help anyone do...

  • Post in thread: BYE BYE Tucker...

You're running cover for your beloved savior, for what reason I don't know? And blaming abstract concepts like capitalism for bidens corruption. You've gone full antifa. Ultimately Biden is just window dressing. It's his handlers who don't want to be exposed. Perhaps you're just too scared...

Awe Tampax, you're killing me. There is nobody more disloyal to the United States than people who voted for Joe Biden.
  • Post in thread: AWG Not Right -- A Public Safety Warning

No but the same OP is also "frustrated" with victron 12/24 volt charge controllers because they won't charge his 18 volt battery at the same rate as a 24 volt so there is that. I'm going to guess this issue with the wire gauge is another mistake on his part.
  • Post in thread: who is still burning wood in april?

At the cabin. The Fisher burning old-growth Western red cedar. 🥰
  • Post in thread: Do We Need a Control Group?

The thing that shredded my man-pussy was the lack of questioning when they said you still needed the jab even if you had a prior positive covid test. Then all sorts of know it all dumbfucks came out of the woodwork saying the vaccine provided better immunity etc etc.
  • Post in thread: Can Solar & Wind Fix Everything (e.g., Climate Change) with a battery break-through?

As far as fossil fuels, I'm totally fine with moving away from them for most things for no other reason than to reduce pollution and the fact that it's a finite resource and should probably be reserved for a "rainy day" so to speak. The fear mongering bullshit gets ridiculous though and ends up...
  • Post in thread: Trump

Right? What's with these old freaks dying at their bureaucratic post? • Post in thread: Can Solar & Wind Fix Everything (e.g., Climate Change) with a battery break-through?

It's kind of the strategy. Make unreliable sources of energy that are heavily reliant on the weather. When the weather turns shitty and the power doesn't work then blame global warming and sell carbon credits. These people are geniuses only in the fact that if it I pulled a stunt like that I...
  • Post in thread: Climate change, COVID, and other things...

Correct. All the pain we are currently experiencing is because of all the hard work that has gone into violating our constitution with things like the War Powers Act And of course the creation of the federal reserve.

  • Post in thread: Half price electric cars

Oh my gosh you're right. There are no downsides to EV's at all. Thank you for tackling all my misinformation. I didn't just get a Facebook ad from the local electric company trying to get customers to sign onto a program that let's the power company control when your EV gets charged. They...
