AOlithium batteries are on sale in Canada. Under $1600 Canadian for each battery with free shipping. And I think you get another $100 off for each battery at checkout. So $1500 each. I own 4 of these. So far so good
I’m going to overpanel my 40a renogy solar controller (12v / 520W) and in theory it should work. My renogy controller is 100vdc and my panels are 535w each. Each panel has approx 50v and 12.5 amps. I will be wiring these panels in parallel using 8 awg wire. 8 awg wire can do 40amp . So these...
Well your limit is the wires between the batteries ( the orange cable) they are only 3 gauge wire so the can only 100amps. So that is why a bus bar would be a great idea. If you had bigger cables like 0/4 when you could do the 400amps for 4 barriers I have 4 of these batteries and I will be...
I have 4 of these but one could handle a fridge . Jist find a fridge with low amp draw- energy star rated. My 120v - regular sized friend only draws 1.1 amps when it’s running. When a Fridge gets to temps it turns off so it’s not drawing all the time
I heard another good one:
Your solar panels don’t push power to your batteries/controller, your batteries/controller pull power from your solar panels.
I’m running the sp6548 all in one and they seem to work great other then the communication port. I need to select USER battery type . I try PLY battery and have the jumper set to 32 but they never seem to talk. I get error 61. I then switch it back to USER and it works. And the other issue is...
Another thing to remember is that the solar panels don’t push power to the batteries/ controller . The controller/ batteries pull power from the panels.
I have the Aolithium batteries 51.2 and an all in one with Pylontech. And I still haven’t figured out how to make them communicate. After a month of back and forth with Aolithium I finally got a response that says the CAN port and rj485 are the same sorts for both ports . They share the same...
I have an off grid Cabin with SP6548 (all in one ) with 8- 500w solar panels mounted on wood frames on the ground . When I touch the frame of my solar panel, I get a shock. I can feel the current running through it. It seems very low, but it’s enough to lightly tighten my muscles. Do I need to...
you can go over on your Amps (it’s called overpaneling) but you can’t go over on volts. So overpanel, the only thing in over paneling is you have to pay attention to the cables. A 10awg wire can handle 30amps. So if you solar controller says it can handle 800w you can over panel and add 1000w or...
I have a grid tie 10kw system with 5 Hoymiles micro-inverters (HMS-2000-4T-NA) . 3 of of my 5 micro inverters are on the old firmware, does anyone know how to update these units? These unit are connected to a DTU and I don't see the upgrade option
This DC 32amp Circuit Breaker 2P is 500V. I heard someone say that each side is 250v, is this true? So each pole is positive 250v + negative 250v for a total of 500v
I have 4- 48v AOlithium batteries. They unfortunately don’t have the standard lugs for connection. See picture. They also come with 3/0 cables with weird connectors. My question is in regards to the 3/0 wire that goes from the batteries to the AIO. I want to add a tclass fuse to the wire. I have...
My Sungold power inverter -sp6548 doesn’t talk with my AOlithium batteries. I don’t know if the issue is with the batteries or the all-in-one. Both manuals for both units are unorganized and lack some key information. They both need work. If anyone has had some successful communication...
I think I might pull the trigger on purchasing 2-3 48v Aolithium batteries ($1900 Canadian each) Im in Canada and I don’t have many options for 48v batteries and the SOK 48v are now about $2900. Im saving $1000 on each battery. Or is this a bad idea? I have really never heard of any bad...
I’m building a 10000w dc solar system for my home ( my city approved me for 8000w ac) I will be using 20-500w solar panels. I had a guy quote me on 10- Ap system micro-inverter (DS3-L) which only produce 768w when two panels are connected to them. Is this 768w panels in AC current or DC? I...
I’m in the process of building a solar shed in the backyard of two cabins. See picture. I have 4 -48v lithium batteries, 4000w of solar panels and a LV6548 6500w inverter all-in-one. In the past both cabins have had their own solar systems, so now we will have one big shed with the solar. Both...
I have 4 - AOLITHIUM 51.2v 100ah Server Rack Lithium LiFePO4 Battery. In the manual its not clear on how to make all 4 communicate with “Pylontech”. All it says is jumper 32 (which is DIP 6-on) has to be set. It also is not clean if “slave 0” would be considered the first battery. Can someone...

I have a off grid 48v system . I have a sp6548 All-in-one. The all-in-ones inverter recommends to run 4 awg wire from the inverter to the electrical panel. I have some extra 4 awg stranded pure copper wire. I’m just wondering if it’s ok to use this wire? Or should I find/ buy some 4/2 wire loomex?
I have a 24v offgrid system and I want to add a fuse between the battery and the 3000w inverter. I use 4/0 wire. Most people cut the wire and introduce the ANL fuse in the middle of the wire. Shouldn’t it be ok to just add the ANL fuse at the end of the wire and connect the ANL to inverter? Or...
