    Too many amps?

Think of the charge controller as a switch. Which in a way it is. You might want to read this funny story By @Substrate which (sort of) explains how it works ;·) -

Now that it's daylight savings I'll make less kWh.

You know, winter/summer timezone changes do have some advantages. And the fact that they still use them despite so many people whining and whinging about them seems to indicate so. -

Now that it's daylight savings I'll make less kWh.

Bullshipping* aside, I live in a country that has such an absurd time zone that we have the equivalent of DST (and a half) in winter, and are two (and a half) hours behind in summer. Which just means that most businesses open at 9 AM and most people dine at 10 PM. And a lot of people still...

    Spam Attacks

Yeah well. I really liked it when I signed up here how "loose" it was - almost no restrictions. Most other forums I use have a lot more. As they say in Spain, "Pagan los justos por los pecadores" - which loosely* translates to "The righteous end up paying for the sinners". It's the usual...

EG4 6500 EX Under an Oscilloscope

Well, that is exactly what I did when I tested the inrush on mine and the results weren't all that bad. -

LFP is Lithium-Iron-Phosphate. LiFePO4. A much better technology than lead-acid. I've lived for many years on lead-acid. LFP definitely improved my quality of life. Look it up. Which reminds me, I also use mobile for internet access. I have a little antenna on the roof and an amplifier. I get...

Sounds absolutely great. I live completely off-grid too. 70 sqm (say 700 sqft) little house, a bit less than 4 acres. 1.2kW PV, 1.3KWh LFP batteries. Stihl chainsaw ;·), heat house with wood, cook and heat water with gas, so plenty power. One thing I would look into is LFP batteries. Expensive...

I produce about 40% more on a cloudy day vs sunny day. Why?

That - and the tilt/azimuth - might be it. If the panels are shaded from direct sunlight, and at a bad angle, the clouds will play in their favour. .

MPPT maximum voltage - why no safety margin?

A better explanation than my theory on page one :·) Still... In the sense that... it exhorts it? ;·) -

The world's a big place - specify your location!

So, how does posting your location affect your "anonymity"? I live on a small island. Roughly one million other people do so too. And some people are wary of posting their approximate location on a forum... most likely using a device which is designed for spying and can pinpoint it almost...

    Pylontech battery connectors

Well, if you draw 100Ah from a 100Ah battery, it would last (a bit less than) one hour. Still, 200Ah at 52V is 10'400Wh. Over 10 kWh. What do you have that draws that much? -
