Lots of energy storage there! I take it that you don’t plan on bringing a generator with you? I have ordered the 280 cells (4) and a 200 amp daly bms for my 2506. Space is a super premium or I would have ordered 8, maybe I should have anyways. Can’t have enough, eh? :)
How did you route the...
This is concerning to me, I just ordered 4 of the liFe 280 ah cells, and was going to use this BMS as a plug and play solution for my camper.
Should I be concerned?
I've not seen any other 200 amp easy to use BMS's so far, but am a complete newbee. I know I can parallel two 100 amp ones, but...
Expensive, but you can raise the voltage to carry more energy. There will be losses for going up/ down, and you have to make sure you stay under max voltage for the wire you are using.
Hey all, we are taking delivery of a small trailer that has two refrigerators, one a traditional RV 2 way 6 cubic ft, and the other in the outside kitchen that is a cube maybe 1.5' in every direction. Google says it should draw 50 to 65 watts when cycling, but 3 to 4 times that on startup. From...
How would you store the battery?
1) Leave on trailer with battery switched off?
2) Same, but disconnect BMS?
3) Remove battery and keep indoors to keep an occasional eye on it? I would literally have to partially disassemble it to do this, sorta a pita.
It will essentially be below freezing to...
So I set my bmv 712 to read 100% soc at 13.6 volts. (?)
With a 4 watt parasitic load, the bmv says slightly more than 2 days.
The converter will output 14.6 for four hours, and kicks back to 13.6 after that for float, mounted 8 ft away and using 8 gauge wire.
Sounds like a silly question, but...
I may not have been clear, the daly store took paypal for the bms. Amy would only take a credit card for the cells. The credit card company sent a text to authorize it.
I want to use the Daly 200 amp BMS on my four 280ah cells. Since this is going in an RV, I was wondering if I bussed all the charge sources together, (dc to dc charger, solar, converter) and then ran that through an scr controlled by the 712, that should work, right?
Finding a high current BMS...
Done.
USD 517.51 has been successfully processed
4 cells shipped to upstate NY.
Now to find that 200 amp BMS....
EDIT: Help out the newbee...
Will this 200 amp BMS be plug and play for me on these cells for use in a small trailer with an occasional use of a 2KW inverter, but mostly small loads...
Would those be these? https://www.amazon.com/Ancor-252261-Marine-Electrical-2-Gauge/dp/B000NHZYOW/ref=sr_1_7?dchild=1&keywords=tinned+copper+cast+lugs&qid=1591028986&sr=8-7&th=1&psc=1
I looked to try and rent a decent crimper, I may end up buying the harbor freight one instead, but they seem...
This should be a sticky, but I say this from experience: MAKE SURE THAT IT IS UL LISTED OR AT LEAST CONFORMS TO THE UL CODE or you will be sorry when it comes to grounding unless you are never planning on tying it to an electrical panel, or RV, etc.
Planning a 4c 280 ah build per the current thread in the diy section. So they should be able to handle a 2k inverter. (the 6mm terminal screws are concerning however, but no one seems to be having issues so far). By the math, there is about 3.6 kwh in a 4 cell 280 ah setup. So 3 to 4 days, minus...
