I used open loop for a long time but my batteries would always discharge at different rates and my state of charge amongst the bank would be all over the map. when I started doing closed loop it discharged very evenly and the state of charge remained more consistent. I’m not going back but...
I recently went back to closed loop communication for my sungold batteries and my SP 6548 and even though the option 12 and 13 are presented in SOC% it seems the battery/inverter will not accept any value and returns to 0% on each value. So by default it determines at 14% it returns to grid...
The 6000xp only uses can protocol for communication switch the port on the Sungold batteries to the Can port and make sure your master battery dip switch first digit is up and the others all down to designate it as the master. It should be plug and play after that. Make sure you select...
so I bought my Sp6548 inverters and 400 ah of batteries in August of 2023. And for the most part I have been pleased with them but there are quirks that you guys are well aware of with the voltronics inverters mainly the flickering lights and lack of any support. Etc… When the 6000xp came...
I agree that reducing the max charge voltage to keep cell 9 from spiking. my cell 9 was doin te same thing which is why I settled on 55.2 for bulk charge it gets to 100 soc fairly quick but stops the cell 9 from triping OVP. You can still get to full with less voltage but I found 55.2 gets...
Your bulk charging is much lower then mine I have mine set at 55.3 Off grid garage did several tests on many different lithium batteries and 3.45 per cell seems to be the magic number and it works well for me as well. I set my float to 55.2 help balance them out. After bulk charged is reached...
Yes I bought the 12 stud bus bars from signature solar and I attached that to my SGP battery rack. Then I connected the batteries to my inverter using 4/0 wire and the victron lynx distributor, this is not necessary but I liked how clean it was and I use the victron smart shunt for battery...
I gave up long ago on closed loop for my SGP batteries. it didn’t help at all and the master battery was basically dictating everything for the others in user mode I was able to set parameters that made all my batteries happy.
Have you selected the correct battery designation ? If you are using SunGold batteries they have to be set to pylon. User is actually better settings for control in my opinion you can better tweak the charge parameters to suite your needs
