I’m stumped as well. Was about to toss it figuring it was just a faulty manufacturing defect but thought I’d ask here first
Red wires at the bottom are the fuses I added after the initial non-replaceable ones blew on my initial install
1600 between the battery terminals, 260 between the panels 640 on the output
I should have said the lcd screen lights up and appears functional even with the blown fuses

Brand new cheap cc blows fuses 30amp as soon as I power it up with a 12v battery. Nothing else is connected

I’ve got the renogy battery. Only had it for a few months but has been great. Tested at about 105ah maybe a bit more but saw no need to push it once it exceeded its rating

You will need propane for hot water but my cottage runs everything on 12v. Most phone drop 110 back down to 12v or lower so save yourself the conversion loss and keep it at 12.
There is no need to keep fla batteries warm during storage as long as they are charged up. Mine have been at my cottage for 7 years now and I get -30C each winter
My cottage is just south of sudbury (Estaire area). I leave my system on all winter, have for the past 7 years with no ill effects. There should be minimal drain (unless your running something), so its just going to be a trickle/top up charge which is very easy on the batteries. Mine don't...
