These are commercial packs that came from bigbattery. Each 24v battery does have its own bms, the single cell overcharge protection params are:
Min: 3.72V
Standard: 3.75V
Max: 3.78V
I m not sure I have access to change the settings of the BMS, as it is installed in the battery case.
I am...
OK, so I made a mistake and bought some equipment before I had any understanding of what the heck I was getting into. I don't want to send anything back as I think we will eventually grow into this system by next summer. Right now we are living in an RV in Colorado while we build, and will be in...
We bought raw land and do not plan on bringing in electricity from the power company, as the costs are crazy expensive for where we are. So this will never be a grid tie type setup.
The manufacturer lists the Nominal Capacity of (1) 24v battery at 2.45kWh (92.8Ah). I am still learning about...
The batteries I bought have sb175 Anderson connectors built into the battery box. The pole these connectors use is rated for 180 amps. I think this means if the inverter is trying to pull max amps from the battery, these 180 amp poles will be a weak link and could overheat?
@SolarBro if I may ask a question. I have a completely off grid setup, no grid service at all. We are in an RV. For my AC Input I am using a generator, wiring a 50 AMP input plug, running wire from the plug to a 40 AMP load center, and then running from the 40 AMP load center into the AC Input...

So what would you suggest I do? Do I need to add 4 more of these batteries (2 in series, giving me two more 48v 92ah batteries) so I would have a total of 368ah?
I recently bought a solar pump. The specs are as follows:
Maximum pump voltage: 65V DC
Maximum motor current: 3 amps DC
Maximum wattage: 360W
I have an extra solar panel I'd like to use, but I don't want to mess up the pump. Solar panel specs:
Max Power - 250W
OCV - 37.6
Voltage at Pmax -...
I set the inverter to 2A0, and the first time I ran the microwave the inverter shut down and gave me error code 72. "The output current of each inverter is different". 2A0 seems to be a setting when 2 or more LV5048's are running in parallel.
I appreciate your input, no problem at all.
I found this comment on a youtube video: "I believe you can put the unit in 2A0 mode (120V output, L1 and L2 in phase) and short the L1 and L2 outputs with a jumper to get full power (5000W) at 120V. This is what was recommended to me by Andy at...
Since I wired my service panel for 2A2, if I change to 2A0 and add a jumper to L1 and L2, would I need to change how I wired my service panel? I don't think so but I'm second guessing myself.
I have had my LV5048 setup for 18 months now and everything seems to be working good. The only problem I noticed last summer was the inability of the inverter to power both of the AC units in our RV (60+ amps when both running).
I was thinking today that I may have setup something wrong in the...
I'm not sure how to accomplish this. If I unplug the chassis batteries I no longer have dc power in the rv, which powers the heater blower motor and water pump. Last night I left the chassis batteries connected and the LV5048 charged them and then floated for the rest of the time I had the...
Thanks for the reply. I have watched a few more videos and now I am quite nervous with how I have wired my ac out panel from the inverter, and the grounding. In regards to utility power, we are completely off grid and occasionally run a generator for an hour or two in the winter.I need to do some...
Alright, next up is solar panels. Here are the specs of the used panels I bought, 20 in total;
Rated Power: 250W
Open circuit voltage (VOC): 37.6 V
Max power voltage (VMP): 30.3 V
Short circuit current (ISC): 8.85 A
Max power current: 8.27 A
Power Tolerance 0/+3%
Maximum system voltage: 600V...
Thanks for the video! That helped a lot. On to the next few problems. I have everything setup, with my ac output going to the rv input. Everything works as expected, except that the rv house batteries keep charging. I turned off the house battery disconnect but then I have no dc power.

Hello all, I have a neighbor in her 70's who has lived off grid for 25+ years. For awhile she had a solar system running, using a Trace DR series power inverter charger and Trojan L16p Deep Cycle 6v batteries.
From what I gather, she unplugged her batteries in 2013 to go on vacation and never...
Here are the specs for the battery. I'm not sure what calculations will give me the answers you seek. I did buy 4 of these packs. I really appreciate you all taking the time to answer my questions.

This battery box includes the following:
(1) 24V A123 LFP Battery
(1) 130A 8S BMS
(1)...
Thanks for the reply. I am going to unhook all the connections and check each panel with a multi meter. I don't think the breaker wore out, I think something happened when I was messing with the panels, maybe an arc or a connection got pulled loose or maybe even a connection from a panel itself...
I'm not sure what I am thinking either.
So if I stick with what I have, how much solar input should I go for to make sure I am taking it easy on the batteries? We can limit our usage until I can buy more batteries and panels.
Figured out the microwave issue, had to set the inverter to output 240 volts. Still searching for an option to bypass hoise batteries and still have dc power.
I have had the lv5048 running for a few weeks now and everything is going smooth. Where I was having to run the generator everyday for 2-3 hours (depending on the temperature) to recharge the 12v FLA house batteries, now I only run the generator every other day for three hours to keep the...
Thanks for your help, I am up and running and everything seems to be working great. I just need to figure out the best settings for charging my batteries now.
Thank you for the reply! So it seems I have two options for the 50amp input from the generator; either buy an rv cord, cut the end off and wire into the breaker box, or buy an inlet. As I am installing this in a 6x12 trailer and eventually will only use the generator on cloudy days, I think I...
In regards to wire size from the inverter to the batteries, I opened up one of the batteries today and noticed that it used 6awg cable inside also. Is this going to be an issue? The breaker on each pack is 63 amps.
I have read through this thread several times. I have an lv5048 with (4) commercial 24v lifepo4 batteries with a 92.8ah capacity each, wired in series and then parallel.
I have noticed what seems to be a pretty severe imbalance between the 4 packs when charging them. Today I came home and...
I have a bus bar. My guess is the batteries were at different rates of discharge when I hooked them up. I did a little but of hillbilly balancing the other day and they are all pretty close now, however I think they would benefit to ire them up in series and let them slow charge for a few days...
