The newest model SOK SK48v100-NCBT has NO closed loop communication, meaning you will not be able to see any data except for voltage from the Cerbo GX. Closed loop communication is the actual name of the communication from the inverter to the battery.
There is currently RS-485 (Modbus) and...
I have installed a Sol-Ark 15k with a Lifepower4 3 rack with a com-hub. It was NOT in parallel so I can only help you with the experience I have had.
Your going to need to update your hub from V1.5 to V1.6. The V1.5 had a bootloop bug that will have the com-hub power cycle itself. Your...
That's not the reason cell 1 is highlighted red. It's being passive balanced with cell 3 that is highlighted green. You pushed to many amps into this battery trying to charge and tripped the overcharge current protection.
This is extremely low quality work. You need find another solar installer. If this is what the breaker box is looking like (this is incredibly simple to do properly) then who knows what else unsafe installations they have done to your system.
Here are some main issues. I'm sure you already know most of this I'm about to type. Your using open loop communication, your relying on voltage to charge your batteries. This is a inaccurate way to determine SOC with lifepo4 considering it's flat Charge/Discharge curve. I'm not surprised your...
He has butt connections on both sides of positive and negative I doubt those butt connecters are copper and rated for the amount of current both of these batteries can discharge in this configuration which is 200amp. I’m willing to bet this setup has more resistance then from battery terminal...
I don't live on the forums but I'm back on this Sunday morning. For my last post here I think I can clear up some more questions/issues. Since I didn't respond to every question you had.
1. For your pack 6 temperature reading being 10 degrees C or around 15 degrees F lower this could be because...
The Lifepower4 BMS is made by Pace which is the same BMS company that is in Jakiper and SOK server racks, all these bms pcb's are just custom made for each company. It's a smaller world then you think.
Did not mean to come off so blunt but I just try to get straight to the point to help out...
You have no major issues.
1. Some of the cells you have circled red are within .300th of a millivolt and others are .100th of a millivolt and that's no issue.
Whenever top balancing a battery this is very typical for cells to be un-equalized, specifically right after the entire bank has been...
Yes definitely charge each one individually to 100% SOC. This will ensure each battery is top balanced whenever you install all 3 into a bank together. After you build your battery bank. Turn on the batteries while all connected together in parallel and let them idle all together for a few...
If a fault/short happens it will find earth faster if it's grounded. The ground of the faceplate grounds the entire battery case. The only main issue I see is if your inverter has a fault and shorts to earth but never finds it you just electrified the battery case. Maybe if you build a portable...
Also I would suggest a T-class fuse or an ANL fuse. The most that battery can discharge is 380amps for 3 seconds. Fusing the wire as close to the battery as possible. Remember fusing is for protecting what comes after it. Which would be your inverter. Having the programmed BMS protection, the...
One thing I learned installing many car audio systems over the years is run the largest guage wire you can fit for future proofing. You will absolutely need 4/0 for that much amperage and to lessen the amount of voltage drop. I highly recommend getting 4/0 OFC tinned that has a silicone...
SOH is determined directly by capacity that's left. It determines the SOH and SOC by coulomb counting. You can recalibrate the SOH by fully cycling the battery multiple times. Following the 20%-80% rule for lifepo4 and the bms can become inaccurate by possibly one a few %. No battery BMS system...
Temco makes some of the best crimpers you can buy, I would trust the quality of the dies and the hydraulics also mainly the crimps this will make. I own the die-less crimper from Temco and it’s been crimping for many years now. Only downside to hydraulic crimpers is they can leak over time.
I've had a EG4 communication hub on a lifepower4 3-rack to a sol-ark 15k for a very long time and have had no issues. Are you just loosing communication to the inverter?
Your using solar assistant which does not read accurate data from the EG4 batteries. You need to take a screenshot of BMS test using the multi-pack tab and show us what the actual SOC% percentages are for your bank. I don't see anything wrong with your bank you just have 1 battery that has an...
The SOC% isn't reading inaccurate. It's reading accurate. The full battery capacity and SOC% are .5ah off. If your comparing this to solar assistant then it never worked correctly to begin with.
You have to use the first 15 batteries on Bat1 RJ45 port. Then begin the next 3 batteries starting on ID:1 on Bat2 RJ45 port. These next 3 batteries should register now as pack ID: 17,18,19 on the com-hub. (ID:16 will be skipped since there is no actual ID:16 with these batteries.)
You should be happy this is how batteries work. SOH is determined by an equation. You have a 100ah battery so the equation equals your battery has around 98ah left. You lost 2ah not a big deal that is great for lifepo4 at almost 500 cycles. Batteries loose capacity over time it's going to happen...
I have alot of experience with the Schneider ecosystem and the eg4 com-hub.
What firmware are you using on the com-hub?
What firmware on the battery?
What firmware on the insight home?
