Just a quick update to this thread. Markus_EG4 and EG4_Ty (both EG4 techs) were able to get this resolved for me. They connected remotely to the inverter via the wifi dongle, and with my permission changed settings they thought needed to be changed to fix the "waiting to qualify grid voltage"...

thanks. but unfortunately it did not work. it still says "Waiting to qualify Grid Voltage, FQ, ISO etc" and it will occasionally use the batteries for an hour or two and then switch to not using them the rest of the night.

I don't have wifi on it right now so please assist here if possible. Thanks!

Its because out of the box the LifePower4 batteries (which you have and I have) don't work with this inverter. They need a firmware update.

Yeah, so that one looks too small for the 6x EG4 batteries unfortunately. That was my first thought as well.

yep. but my efforts to say that earlier resulted in confusion. was just trying to make it as simple as possible.

the inverter doesn't do anything until it can communicate with the batteries. its not communicating with your lifepower4 batteries because the battery symbol is red on your pic (bat com failure). the fix is to update firmware on the batteries and then it will kick in. i spent a week on this...

I would not recommend it. Even though all those plugs look like ethernet ports they are wired differently and plugging them into a router will either do nothing or can do some damage. It would be nice if they were ethernet but they're not.
