This is exactly what I am doing and why I signed up here. :D
I have an outdoor shed/observatory where I plan to house the batteries and inverter in a 4x8 warm room. Still in the planning stages but this is a big concern.
I probably over-built mine, 3" schedule 40 in a 10" hole about 3.5 feet in the ground filled with concrete. Made to accommodate larger panels when I can afford them. Still working on getting the wiring into the ground and conduit.
It worked out to about .40¢ a watt to mount, much higher than...
If you can get up to a foot of snow, I would suggest putting it a bit higher above ground. This would also allow for some wind pressure to flow through the bottom vs. being directed upwards into the panels.
I was getting close to the same output as the panels were not getting near as hot but the smoke wasn't nothing like it was in New York.
It was a perfect storm of several fires all starting at the same time and the weather patterns. Almost like someone planned it.
I never stopped hugging family, friends or even those who reached out for one or stopped shaking hands. Went to the gym 3 times a week and only wore a mask into the supermarket because it wasn't a big deal. After 18 months I got COVID and now have a prescription of Ivermectin on hand, for...
Mine arrived today, very well packed and working with a 54% charge.
130lbs heavy and mounted temporarily! Have it wired to a Victron Multiplus II 3kva. Used a 25 ohm pre-charge resistor but didn't see any sparks. Didn't expect to at 3amp current. This will be tied in with a Victron...
In 2, 5, or 25 years I could admit I was wrong now making my decision to not get the vaccine. Not sure I want to be around at 90.
It could also prove to be the right choice.
Didn't think that you implied I was wrong.
I once vowed to NEVER become involved with an Italian woman after my first...
I do not like what the 'experts' say about them. You know, the experts who spout the truth and are suppressed by MSM, Youtube, Twitter and Facebook, the ones with the medical evidence that gets ignored. The entire bullshit surrounding Ivermectin and how it was demonized as 'horse dewormer' and...
The BougeRV panels have worked out well for me in my ground mounted array. VOC went up 20% one cold afternoon here in Ohio and blew out their SCC which they replaced promptly. It was consistently running less than 130v in 10F weather. They are paired with a Victron 250/100 now.
I can't say my decision was wrong, it just wasn't the best one. It has performed well in the 3years that I have owned the MPP AIO. I did opt to use a more efficient inverter for every day use to power my electronics, as the output is much cleaner on the scope.
I have these Hyundai panels and in the winter time I get over 1200 watts from 4 of them, 1kw maximum in summer. Not sure if they're any better than Aptos.
Service and support is a big concern and you can't beat Ian's response time and support.
I've been happy with a MPP-LV2424 that I purchased thru Ian. Do take into consideration the VOC input when cold.
There isn't an issue for me with your top pick.
The AIO was a RFI generator all across the HF spectrum and it consumed ~50w doing nothing with the inverter on, so I was looking for a replacement to cure those two problems. After seeing a friend's Victron SCC with just a hint of RFI, I decided that's what I wanted to get along with higher...
When I try to use this command it fails and indicates it is a read-only file system.
Am I missing a step before this?
update : found command mount -o remount,rw / and deleted headless file and it works.
Now to connect to MPII 48v/3000 and 250/100 SCC
The darn thing didn't last but 6 hours before Overload appeared while powering a 150w load on AC UPS mode
Piece of junk doesn't do the exact thing I bought it for.
Please point to where they specifically figured out the problems and fixed the mRNA issues and subsequently redid their animal trials. I am not at all comfortable with science manipulating my genetics.
Pfizer cannot be trusted. They had the largest medical fraud case EVER!
I recharge my EcoFlow Delta II Max from the solar and have accidentally left it's charge settings at 1800w and forget when I am in ' low power ' mode with the Samlex inverter running and it just popped the breakers. Done this many times. The LV2424 sucks a lot of power, even at idle and I...
I use the Delta in my office as a UPS with the solar out in my shed providing the A/C using pass thru. I ran out of power twice this month after 3-4 days of clouds and it came thru until the next morning.
I have this same unit and didn't realize the 80v MPPT range which explains why 3 panels in series didn't produce 3 x 300w - efficiency I expected. I now have 2s2P of 300w bifacial panels and routinely get 1100watts, slowly dropping with the sun.
I opted to use a small heating pad, runs about 60w at max setting. It is sandwiched between the 6 100ah batteries in an insulated box where they stay about 15-17c. It's on a $9 programmable timer. The colder it gets, the more tabs I push in to increase the time on. To me, it's a small...
Well, that's a big IF the sun comes out.
I try to keep the batteries full, in case the grid goes down or my business is toast and food is spoiled. There are not enough panels (yet) to charge them to full in the winter months. Typical power outage here is 8hrs, if we are lucky.
It's not about being off-grid for me, but keeping the AC available for my business. If I had the physical space and didn't have the resistance to more solar panels it would be much different.
The last power outage with new battery backup vs. gas generators has enabled me to garner more...
Too much stress can kill you as well as not enough.
I've been bodybuilding for over 40 years and started as a powerlifter. Excessive exercise or sport is very traumatic to the body. Many bodybuilders are dying young because they went too far.
There have been obese people that have amazed...
The Victron SCC 250/100 is now connected in with the Vatrer 48v battery and MultiPlus II, charged to 100%
Waiting for 6awg AC wires and ferrules.
My 1600 watt solar array was churning out 1675 watts as showing both the Vatrer front panel and the Victron IOS app with shunt .
With the 250/10...
I have one of those 600w Samlex inverters. No RFI, but the fan is loud and the speed is variable, it goes up and down, based on load.
I couldn't have it in the same room with me. but it is exceptionally clean and I feel good powering my computers with it. :D
The output of my 8 panel array went up 20% when temps dropped to 0F during the day with wall to wall sunshine and snow on the ground.
Magic smoke appeared from the BougeRV SCC which they replaced free of charge.
Indeed.
I know this from experience. I started out life with fucked up health issues, had acute asthma attack at age 2 and remember them giving me a shot in the heart. Later was diagnosed with Crohn's at 18 and told I would never see 30. I was a big jock and looked perfectly healthy until...
They indicated it wouldn't be restocked for another few weeks and I got one of the last two. This is the wall mounted Vatrer not the chassis.
I am still perusing the Victron MultiPlus II manual and wiring in the solar charger and AC out in the next few days. A real electrician is coming to...
I have the LV2424, it works OK and eventually I will sell it. It has high idle consumption running the inverter and puts out a huge amount of RF across the entire spectrum. Some Mix31 toroidal coils helped fixed.
Moving now to 48v with a Victron 250/100 SCC and soon their 48v inverter...
Does your MultiPlus II exhibit a loud low frequency hum when charging over 20amps?
Not sure if the issue I am having is from how it is mounted or because another inverter is feeding it.
That's my plan is to get another one, but it isn't listed on Amazon that I can find. When I click the product in my Amazon order, it takes me to a different battery.
While monitoring with the Bluetti app, in AC UPS mode, battery @ 100% with 140W load, the battery will drop to 99% every 45 minutes.
At that point it draws another 100w from my (grid) solar for about a minute and a clicking sound can be heard in the unit. It then goes back to Grid = AC with...
